Just what a lightweight down jacket should be, the Mammut Men's Broad Peak II Jacket is feather light, warm and stuffs into the left front pocket to take up minimal pack space. Crafted with an outer shell of Pertex® Quantum fabric, this down sweater is wind resistant, buttery smooth and stuffed with premium 750-fill down.
Constructed as a minimalist piece of outdoor clothing, it has a slim fit that works well under a waterproof shell and offers more than sufficient warmth when worn over a light base layer. The 2 front pockets are not zippered but the chest pocket does have a zipper to keep your headlamp, chapstick and Power Bar secure. Designed by climbers for climbers, the 2-way front zipper and the one-hand adjustable drawcord offer convenience and versatility while you belay your buddy on a crisp fall day at the crag.
Offered in a wide array of colors to please any mood, some have slick contrasting zippers that will turn heads in town. From a September hike on the John Muir Trail to a climbing trip in the mountains of Chamonix, the Mammut Broad Peak II Jacket for men is the lightweight answer to your cold weather needs.

Just what a down sweater should be, Light trim and packable, on and warm This doesn't disapoint. Compared with others and its one of the lightest but fits good and packs in the chest pocket. Black and red zips is sharp. Mammut is rocking these days.

This is a neat jacket to have in one's pack, lots of warmth and little weight. Compared to the nano puff, this jacket has the additional features of pockets and full length double zip, is warmer, has a drawcord waist, fleece at chin, about the same weight, and packs about the same size. All of Mammut's clothing seems to run a little on the small size, so bare that in mind; I wear a large in Patagonia's line and only really happy with a XL in most of Mammut's stuff. The pockets are nice, although if they were zippered it would be perfect and the zipper can be a little finicky. I would recommend this Mammut over Patagonia's Nano Puff if you do not need the water protection of synthetic insulation (Nano). This, however, does not layer as nicely as the nano does.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performancegood jacket~!!

This jacket is very lightweight. The weight is 350g. But warm. The feeling is not wearing clothes. I really like is the item. I'll buy a different color.

The Mammut Broad Peak II is an amazingly feather-light, well-designed jacket. The combination of extraordinary lightness and its ability to be stored in its own pocket make it easy to always be prepared for colder weather. Its lightness and fit provide unrestricted movement for any out-door activity. Mammut's Broad Peak II easily earns 5 stars and all smiles from me!!!!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useLove it but be careful on size

After comparing ALL other down sweaters/Jackets, I went with Mammut and glad I did. While its still too early to assess durability, the jacket is warm and certainly wind resistant as advertised. In a low 40s afternoon with considerable wind, I can wear with a simple base layer and this jacket a be very comfortable...almost too warm. Look forward to taking it on colder backpacking trips. A cautionary tale regarding size. I am 6 feet and 175 lbs. I got a medium. For me, the jacket is tight in the chest and just a tad short in the front and the sleeves. The back is nice as it drops down a bit. I will be exchanging for a Large to see if that works better as its hard to imagine the Medium will give the mobility you need during "active" pursuits.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceNice and warm

Love it! i was wearing just a tee shirt underneath in 10-20 degree weather and stayed cozy warm so its great. here in central oregon it we can have frigid weather and instead of layering up i just throw the broad peak on, i like the fact you dont have to layer up to stay warm with this jacket.
Super warm and stylish

Overall this jacket is excellent. Very warm, very light and very comfortable. I ordered Black size Large. The sizing game is a little tricky, and would be my only complain. I am 6' 175 lbs. The chest and length are perfect. It's just the mid section fits a bit large which can be countered a little thanks to the nice waist cinch, just makes you look like you have a pot belly cause there is so much extra material in that region.. in other words not a slim fit. I would not recommend a size smaller either, because the chest is snug and perfect with a large. Looks-wise this jacket is rockin, compliments every time I wear it, on the mountain or in the city. I take it everywhere!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGood Jacket

As an arborist who works and climbs year round I love this jacket for prepping equipment in the morning up until when the crane ball sets me in the tree. The fit is for fit people.

This is my first down jacket and I have not stopped blaming myself for not buying one before. It weighs virtually nothing and can be compressed to a small, light size. Only one but, the absence of side zippers.
Light weight, well made & very warm
