I use a 100 fleece for a lot of hiking and camping and have tried all kinds of flavors. This fleece is very good, a very tight weave which makes it warmer than others. Fit is great and the colors are fine - not too loud. Mammut makes great gear. Altrec was very efficient again.

Best fleece i own. Thin fleece that keeps you warm on those cool nights. I purchased the coffee color and love it. Very stylish and practical.

I just received this last Friday and was surprised to see how thin and soft this fleece was. It was so soft and comfortable that I decided to keep it instead of returning it to Altrec. To my surprise, even though thin, this fleece kept me warmer than other thicker fleece that I have worn. Therefore, I highly recommend. Thin and light, but keep you warm. Lastly the color is not as described or in the picture. It is not brick/black color, it's actually Christmas red.

Both of the earlier reviews are on target regarding: 1) quality of the item, 2) warmth & softness, and 3) the color is a brighter red than represented in the picture. Got this piece following purchase of the Mammut Ultimate Jacket which I love. Mammut hit target here as well. High quality, thin but very warm, and the cut is great for my fit. Tested it last night for over an hour under the Ultimate Jacket in 18 deg with 20 mph winds and the combo kept me warm and comfy. Zip collar is higher than my TNF Aurora, fleece is lighter, softer, and warmer than the Aurora as well. I'm 6'1", 210 lbs, 45 in chest, 35 in sleeve and the XL isn't tight yet layers well under trim fit garments like the Ultimate Jacket. Wish I had discovered this piece earlier so I could get a second color.

This a great jacket. I own the two north face fleeces the kumbu and the TKA 100 and this fleece is far superior to either of these models. I am thinking of picking up the other color just because of the quality. The only thing of note is that the zipper has a fleece liner on the inside and it causes the collar to not fold over crisp on the front right.
