Functional and sexy
February 28, 2009

I bought this jacket for my wife after she had seen it during our holidays and fell totally in love with it. I believe she will never be cold again in this jacket. It combines functional warmth with a very female look. But be aware, it is totally not true to its size, it runs very large!! Take at least one size smaller when you want to look feminine and want to be able to wear the jacket in day to day life as well, without looking bulky!

Love the jacket
May 17, 2011

Brought this jacket as I love Mammut clothing more than any other brand. I had trouble finding it in the Flame color. My only slight disappointment is that the color is not as vibrant as it shows on the website more of a flatter looking red if that makes sense. Love the bag it comes with for packing it away into a small space. Only had a chance to wear it a few times but it really keeps the wind out. Has inner sleeves with thumb hole to keep your hands nice and toasty. Sleeves a little puffy but not to bad for a jacket this warm.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: color a little off

Great Jacket!
December 17, 2009

I usually wear Medium size but it was too small at the hips and I'm not overweight! The Large size is perfect! I have not used it outdoor yet so I cannot comment on that!

Beautiful Jacket if you don't have to pack it
September 09, 2009

I wanted a really warm jacket that would pack up small. The jacket is beautiful and i would keep it except that it packs up too bulkily. We are planning a trip to Nepal for next year when someone else will be carrying my stuff. It would be perfect for that, but I returned it for a North Face jacket that packs up really small. I loved the color and the hood is very nice. The sleeves that your thumbs go through seem like they'd be great in the winter!

i hate taking this off!
June 15, 2009

This is the coziest jacket I have ever had. It is warm and covers all the essential parts. I get at least 1 compliment every time I wear it.

Warm but not the warmEST
February 19, 2010

This jacket has a great hood. It only goes down to your hips, so if you are looking for something REALLY warm, I would recommend a longer down coat. The size small is big enough to wear a bulky sweater under if you have a smaller frame.

Hermosa y abrigadora!!!

Nice buy
June 14, 2011

Very pleased with purchase. Wanted size small, but were all out, so ordered medium and fits real well. The hood is great cuz can turn my head & still see peripherally. Love the thumbhole sleeve extensions. The lime color is nice & light, not as dark as pictured.

Pros: Great value

Really good!

It is a light jacket, very warm, and comfortable...a really good option for cold weather!

I had originally ordered an OR Aria jacket but after getting the Mammut in the mail today, I'm returning the OR. This is a SWEET deal for pricing. I feel like this jacket is the middle of the road between a sweater down jacket and a heavy duty base camp jacket. I am almost a perfect small on top and since this deal was good and free shipping I ordered the Xsmall as it was the only thing left. It FITS! I'm 5'5", 130-135 lbs, and athletic (maybe 27" from middle of back to end of arms???). If you are any bigger than this I wouldn't order the xsmall. But if you are about the same or slightly smaller this will work. I love the looks of this jacket, the pockets are soft, neck feels good, and I do like the thumb holes they don't really even show you (inner layer inside the cuff)! I probably wouldn't be able to wear a big sweater under it, but you won't need to, it's down. It does fit perfectly under my arcteryx shell (size small). I highly approve, but if you are going for super light weight you need something lighter. Also I have yet to use it. I've just tried it on, but I'm pretty anal about my gear.

October 21, 2010

I bought this jacket last year and am looking forward to winter so I can wear it again! I've always loved Mammut styles and functionality and the Pilgrim nailed both... This jacket is warm, has a great fit, awesome features and fits like a glove! Absolutely a must have if you live in an area with cold winter weather!

Women's Pilgrim Jacket
December 09, 2010

I got this jacket at the end of last winter. It's been a much needed and welcome alternative to a much bulkier, unisex puffy jacket that I had for years. It has a nice, athletic fit, and the pattern is flattering. It has hand warmer cuffs, and is super light weight for the amount of puffiness, which I really love. It comes with a stuff sack in case you want to pack it down. Well designed and functional.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Awesome Coat!
February 01, 2011

LOVE this! Warm and cozy and comfortable. I am usually between a medium and large - I ordered a large and it is big enough for sweaters and layers underneath. Only complaint is the color - I ordered Fire and it is a much lighter red in person than I thought it would be.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

this jacket rules. . .
January 02, 2008

this jacket is like wearing a sleeping bag. . .in a good way. really warm and the hood rules! i originally started with orange and it was a little bit flashy, so i ended up with black. i love it. i am now warm all the time. snug as a bug in a down jacket. the cut is not super bulky, you do not look like the puff state marshmallow like you do in other downies.

Fantastic
January 25, 2010

This jacket is lightweight, not bulky, but incredibly warm.

The Best Down jacket I've ever had!
February 12, 2008

This seriously is the best down jacket that I have ever worn. Since I work for an outdoor retailer I have had quite a few down jackets. This is the most comfy one that I have ever had. I like the way it feels and fits!

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, soft and smoothly

Awesome Coat
December 14, 2009

This is a great jacket!! It is really warm and looks great. I am 5'4'' and 120 lbs and the small fits me great, with a little room for layering although it isn't really needed. I recommend it 100%!

Stylish, Warm, Versatile
January 03, 2011

I bought this jacket for my fiancee and she loves it! The color blue is much nicer (and lighter) than the pictures lets on. It is closer to a sky blue. It is very stylish, very warm and durable. It looks great in the city and on the hill. Nothing bad to say about this jacket!

April 04, 2012

Pros: Great value

I love this Jacket!
March 06, 2010

I received this jacket recently and I love it! The fit is true to size and it is flattering and not bulky. It is very light weight but warm and cozy. I wore it snow skiing in 28 degree weather and it was plenty warm. I disagree with the person that said it kept the wind out. When I skied down the hill I could feel the wind going through the jacket. That was ok I was warm skiing down the hill and I liked the breathabilty. It did keep me warm on the chairlift. It looks great with jeans. When I need a wind barrier I would wear my other ski jacket. Whenever I have worn the jacket I get compliments. I too like the length of the jacket it's perfect not too short.

Great warm jacket
December 20, 2009

Recent snowstorm in Northeast made this jacket very handy and timely. Nice, warm and light.

This is an awesome jacket!
January 04, 2009

This is an awesome jacket...really warm for the compact nature of it...hood is great! Love the thumb hole in sleeves too... keeps everything snug and warm even in the coldest temps and wind. True to size...normally I wear size small, but I bought a medium to use over harness and other ice climbing clothes etc. and it works great!

January 19, 2009

This is a great winter jacket..I have endured VT winters for awhile and this beats out all of my other previous winter...I also used it snowboarding, although it's not water resistant..I just used it on a clear day and it block the wind well and kept me warm..I bought the small in coast...Very true to size..I'm 5'2 130 athletic build and it fit perfectly.

April 11, 2011

I received this jacket recently and I love it! The fit is true to size and it is flattering and not bulky. It is very light weight but warm and cozy. Nothing quite fit the bill or was as warm as I needed. This jacket is everything I'd been looking for! light, warm, durable. i've work this jacket every winter and remained warm and toasty regardless of the harsh weather.

AMAZING JACKET
February 14, 2010

This jacket fits true to size and isn't a big bulky down jacket. The jacket is extremely warm and does a fantastic job blocking out the wind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who gets cold very easily.

Extremely Warm, and Comfortable Jacket
July 06, 2011

Although it hasn't been taken into true alpine weather, for basic cool weather backpacking it is extremely warm and comfortable. Also, it packs up small and makes a great pillow. Doesn't pack as small as it appears in the picture but is still pretty compact for an insulated jacket. Approximately the size of a football. Perfect for throwing in a day pack as a safety net for an unplanned overnight as it doesn't take up too much space. Also, fairly stylish if you are in the Pacific Northwest wear alpine gear out to the bar style. Highly recommend. Also, fits true to size.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

It's Lovable...
February 18, 2009

My coworkers keep petting my coat as it hangs on the back of the chair, constantly commenting on how soft and inviting it is. While bold in color (I have the coast-colored coat), it is both flattering and comfortable. It doesn't stuff down as small as I had hoped, but it does stuff, and doubles as a fantastic pillow.

love it
November 04, 2008

I tried on this jacket at a local shop and loved it but they only had the tamarillo (super bright, obnoxious orange-cool for the slopes, but not everyday wear.) I wanted a jacket I could wear outdoors snowshoeing or skiing but also as an everyday coat. I went online to find one in black and am very happy with it. It super warm and really comfortable. I definitely recommend it.

Perfect
January 24, 2011

I typically have trouble with these jackets because the arms are too short or the jacket itself is too short and I have a long torso. This one is perfect. If you are more petite I would order a size down though. The purple color is bright but not too shocking, it's super warm and I really like the sleeves with the thumb hole. The best part is the huge hood!

Pros: Great design, Performance

Light, very warm and delightful to wear, no bulky feeling.
October 15, 2009

This jacket is my third piece of clothing from Mammut and it is as expected both good design and superb quality. I have a polartec jacket which has followed me everywhere around the world for years and a Goretex rain jacket. Both exceptionally good and smart like this Pilgrim jacket.

Love this Jacket!
April 02, 2011

I love this coat and have received lots of compliments on it. I like that it isn't bulky. It is very warm and cozy. I can wear a single layer underneath and still be fine, but I don't overheat if I'm wearing more than that. I tend to have problems with jacket arm lengths being too short, but this jacket is perfect - and the hand gaiters are awesome! The fit is fashionable, and the quilt pattern is very stylish. I am 5'8" and about 130 lbs, and a medium fits perfectly.

I am sooo GLAD I bought this jacket, its very comfy, stylish, folds up small, keeps all the cold out, and the hand covers work great you don't need gloves or you could just fold them in and they wont bug you.

a five star jacket that's affordable
January 08, 2010

Purchased the Mammut women's pilgrim jacket for a long torso and the fit was perfect. Love the color and the ease of movement. Great jacket to own and the hood is a bonus. Winters in MT can be long and unpredictable. I feel I now have a jacket completely suited for the next 5 or 6 months of inclimate weather at an affordable price. Yippee! Thanks to Altrec for their swift delivery and for stocking a great jacket.
