This is an amazing light. I have had many headlamps, but this one beats them all hands down. The light output is really noticeably better and makes a big difference if you plan on running in the dark like I do. I also hike in pretty tough terrain and the extra light gives you an extra dose of security. You will not find a brighter light and it does not suck down batteries, isn't bulky, and doesn't weigh a ton. Not minimalist by any measure, but if you want a bright light, this is the one to get.
