Cool and Warm
December 09, 2011
I own a Marmot Jacket, so when it was time to get our 7th Grade Son a new jacket for the season I looked toward Marmot. He has owned Spyder and Northface previously, so the change came with some resistance. He had to be 'Cool' as well as warm. This coat fit the bill. The first words out of his mouth when it came was "Cool". The temps have been single digits to 20's lately in Minnesota, and He mentioned He hasnt been cold once and the hood "fits perfectly around his ears"! Score one for Marmot and the Parents! He's Cool and we dont have to worry about Him being warm.
Pros: Great design, Great valueGreat stylish winter jacket

I am a big Northface fan so I was hesitant to switch brands, but after comparing features of this jacket to most boys Northface styles I thought I would give it a try. The color and style were trendy and my 4 year old looked really cool. The jacket has 650 down fill power so it is very warm, but not puffy at all; it actually seemed really thin which worried me because winters in Chicago are very cold but after we went outside and my son started complaining of being "hot" I was put at ease. Would definetely recommend if you are looking for a warm winter jacket without the bulk.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, warm
