This has been a great jacket for my son. We live in the Seattle area so we certainly see rain. It truly keeps him dry.

We haven't tested it out for rain yet but my 8 year old son seems very happy with it so far. The fabric is very thin and light weight.

Northface jacket a great purchase. The jacket is light, comfortable and excellent quality, a great material to keep dry. Altrec is great service and the shipping was very fast.

Marmot's has good quality products from my experience. I have the menÂ’s version of this product and am satisfied with it. The boyÂ’s version does not have a draw cord hem or hook/loop sleeve cuffs, has elastic cuffs instead. Marmot's jackets normally have hook/loop cuffs, but I think a combination of both hook/loop and elastic works best, adjust the cuff to fit and then never have to fiddle with them again when taking the jacket on and off. That would be my one complaint with Marmot jacket and that they seem to be stingy with the hook/loop fasteners throughout the jacket, including the hood. Overall I am satisfied with their products and would buy them again.
