Marmot began making down vests, parkas, sweaters and sleeping bags in 1975. Marmot uses several different leading fabric technologies in their outerwear including:

• WINDSTOPPER® - A soft shell fabric technology that offers total windproofness and maximum breathability in soft shell jacket styles. These shells are great for skiing, hiking and general use where protection from the wind is a priority.
• PreCip® - Marmot’s premier technical waterproof and breathable fabric is a lightweight compressible fabric designed with rain and ski wear in mind. The advantage to PreCip® is it compressibility, light weight and affordable pricing.
• MemBrain® - Marmot’s most affordable waterproof and breathable fabric. It balances durability with waterproof and breathable performance and a soft feel.
