Great combination of features and weight, for the price.
Very Light 3P Tent
January 02, 2010
Pound for pound the best bang for your buck. We used it in the Sawtooth and White Cloud Wilderness. Easy set-up, amazing features and light weight for the price. We used it for 2 and were also comfortable with 3 adults. I like the 2 doors and the 2 vestibules leave enough room for backpacks and boots.

Very good backpacking tent! Has withstood some pretty hefty rainstorms while keeping us dry, fits two guys of over 6' pretty well. Easy to set up, love the two vestibules! Only downside is it is a little on the heavy side for just 2 people, but it's worth the extra space!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueAlready own the Marmot Limelight 3 Person Tent? Tell us your thoughts.
Best tent for the money

If your looking for the best bang for the buck in a backpacking tent this is the one. Its not the lightest, but its easy to set up and comes with a footprint and gear loft. There is not another tent available that had the Limelights quality and features for the money. Like all backpacking tents the 3 person rating is for 100lb stick people, 2 people fit very comfortably and if you like being close 3 people will fit. Overall this is a great tent that offers a great design and quality.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueLIMELIGHT LOVIN

We bought this tent a day before out trip to the Adirondacks and was relieved to find it easy to set up. The poles on the top provide a very spacious feeling from the inside, as the space was utilized very well. The Limelight had great ventilation and views when the vestibule was off, and was very secure with the vestibule on. This tent can be easily erected and disassembled. It was very windy during our trip but the low profile handled it just fine. Although we did not experience any rain, the seams appear to be sewed and taped with care. Good price point for this 3 season tent!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valuereliable, sturdy, and lots of space

I've camped in this Limelight dozens of times, for a week at a time, and this tent is a beauty. Okay, it's not perfect, but it sure is great... especially with the double vestibules, 1 for gear, and 1 for entrance. I use my hiking pole to clip the entrance flap open and it works super. We've been in deluges and gotten just a little wet in the corners... and a little underneath... not much, and these were real downpours when camped on sandy/rocky soil so you can't blame the tent. It feels a bit tight for 3, but perfect for 2. And I love being set up before others are still unpacking.
