Not what I expected! Material is very thin. I also would have prefered if the side pocket have a zipper to prevent items (wallet or cell)from falling off, which happened with my cell when removing the vest! I'm 5'9' 160lbs. and I ordered the large size and I love the fit and cut of this vest. Very surprised of the warmth this item provides. I found myself unzipping a couple of times while moving around.Pros: great fitting, Cons: Cost

I'm 6'1", 178 pounds, and a size Large vest was really big on me. I am easily a Medium in this style. I returned it but the design/quality of the vest was what I was looking for. A windproof, light weight, running vest.
Very Nice All around item

The other reviews are very helpful and accurate. This is thin, but it is windproof, warm, and easily controlled with the zipper and no insullation in the back. I live in north Idaho and it is cool, this vest has been great as outwear and as a heat provider while cycling in cool weather. It packs nicely. As noted side zip pockets would be nice. Colors, I have black and blue, have a shiny sheen but wear well in the office as well as during activities.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

I have different brands of softshell vest like Northface, Ternua and Trangoworld. I decide to buy the Marmot vest to my collection and this is almost the same of all that I have. The most important for me with this nice vest was the option of the color. I have the grey one and looks very nice. I like it.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Men's DriClime Vest is a winner
May 17, 2011
I really like the quality and style of Marmot merchandise but given the cost of the Marmot brand, I can only bring myself to buy it when it goes on sale. So I watch at the change of the season and buy the sale items. I wear a vest to work nearly everyday and have 20 or more hanging in my closet. I bought this DriClime because it is lightweight and on days when the temperature goes from 55 degrees in the morning to 75 degrees in the afternoon, I can take it off and carry it easily in my hand. In the office where the airconditioning blows on me all day, the light liner across the shoulders is very welcome. I particularly like the DriClime because it is windproof and very stylish.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, good styling, Cons: Cost
Perfect Vest for all activities!
January 21, 2013
I bought this vest for my boyfriend and it was the perfect gift. We run a lot in the winter, as well as snowshoe and cross country ski, and this vest is a great addition to the training wardrobe. Overall, this best can't be beat. Great fit, great price, comfortable and functional beyond belief. Looks great on him, and I am sure he will wear it for more than just training.Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use

The fabric is akin to satin or rayon. Its very slick, and has a great feel to it. While it weighs 7 ounces, it feels like it weighs half that or less, and it packs down to nothing. You can wad the vest up into your hand... about the size of a baseball.
Great vest for running and hiking
November 29, 2010
I love this vest. I bought the jacket first and loved the fit so much I had to get the vest. Perfect for early fall/late spring runs and to throw on for a quick hike. I think it is a great investment. I have nothing negative to say about it, and I am picky with my gear!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
different than expected
March 28, 2012
Expected the shell of this to be more like the Northface bionic and it is actually a very light and thin poly material. No complaints on using it for travel. It served me well on the airplane when the temperature adjusted frequently. I just couldn't tell from the description and pics that it was as thin as it was.Pros: Great design, Cons: Wears quickly
marmot in minnesota
February 12, 2013
minnesota is all about dressing in 'layers'. and if you do it right you don't have to look like the pillsbury doughboy..all puffy and stupid looking. the marmot driclime vest is the answer for elegant layering. the tasteful 'marmot' insignia shows just above my opened zipper outside jacket. and it's lightweight as well as plenty warm. it was made for this climate and the 3 months trying to stay warm while being active outdoors. if you weigh somewhere around 190lbs get the extra-large. a perfect fit.Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use
