I have a lot of Marmot gear and this is another great addition. VERY warm, not too puffy and room for layering. The inside zipper pocket is great and gives me security in stashing my drivers license, credit card and my iPod. Got it on sale and in my favorite color and fast, free shipping from Altrec. Does not get any better than that! Highly recommend this jacket.

The Guides Down Jacket is pretty sweet. It's soft, its warm, and it looks great. It is on the "puffy" side compared to some other jackets, but you have to remember...it's a down jacket. It's going to have the extra puff to it. It has nice fleece material around the neck and inside of the pockets which really does help keep your hands warmer. The actual material of the jacket feels a little on the thin side as far as durability. In other words, I worry sometimes that a stick might snag a rip in it or what not. All in all, it really is a pretty awesome down jacket. I have it in the green color and it looks great. It keeps me warm on cold days and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I am 6'5", around 205lbs, athletic build and purchased an XL. It fits me well. The body of the jacket is long enough (down to the upper thigh) and so are the sleeves (I generally wear a 36/37 sleeve). I own other Marmot products (jacket and clothes) and find that they generally accommodate taller people. I also find their products to be of great quality. The jacket is warm (not hot, which is a good thing) and does a good job of keeping the wind out.

I couldn't be happier with this jacket. The quality, fit and style has exceeded my expectations and I have already received numerous compliments whenever I've worn it. The best thing about this jacket is that it keeps you warm when that's the objective, but is also perfectly comfortable indoors. It also avoids that "bulky" feeling that so many down jackets have and fits well over both base layers and heavier sweaters. Add to that the great price and this is definitely a jacket worth buying now.

bought this jacket for my best friend;s birthday,he is 6feet tall 205 lbs usally wears a large this time xlarge was perfect, he loves the color black and very warm so far when is very windy and cold 31 degrees

Fit is comfortable (slightly longer in the torso which I prefer because it feels warmer) and proportionate. Very warm and light. ALMOST makes me look forward to Michigan's next winter :)

Since I got this down jacket, I realize Marmot is one of best down jacket brand in the world, this jacket is so comfy and warm in the winter, especially for chilly weather.

Excellent quality as usual with Marmot, arms seem a touch long though, jacket looks great because its not so puffy like other downs. I would definitely buy and recommend Marmot brand products in the future. I own North Face jackets but too many people wearing North Face now so I decided to go with something different, Marmot quality is top notch, just as good or better than North Face. Overall a good purchase.

Overall it is a fine jacket - it is a little lighter weight than some others which makes it good for layering underneath a shell. the arms seem a bit on the long side.

This jacket is very warm! The fit is true to size, and I like how the jacket is a little longer in the back to keep drafts out. I have a Marmot down sleeping bag and the high quality of this jacket is the same.

I have had this jacket for 10 years. It is still just as warm as the day I purchased it and the outer fabric has held up really well despite the beating I have given it.
