It is amazing how light this is.
May 04, 2010

This jacket is awesome! Extremely light weight and good fit (I am 6'1", 185lbs and ordered a large). The hood is also great. The brim extends out far enough to cover a hat and has a wire in the brim that you can manipulate. Very cool. Just another awesome Marmot product!

Two Thumbs Up!
January 28, 2011

I‘ve bought Marmot Nano Jacket as gift for my husband. He is overwhelmed. L size fits ideally. It is very nice that the web-site offers back length details. This jacket weight of 8 ozs just strikes imagination. My husband believes that it is the best gift I’ve ever made to him. This jacket utilize a little room to keep it with yourselves. It has ideal features for rainy conditions. Oh. I just forgot to tell that the jacked had gone to Russia. My husband likes to spend his weekends struggling through forest or climbing hills and he believes this gear is the best to serve such purpose. Moreover he has strong intention to have it always with himself in case of rain. When folded it occupies a wallet-size room in his bag. Thank you. The jacket is Two Thumbs Up!

Sorry...not good
April 06, 2011

the "nano" jacket was not what I expected, the zipper is reversed for a men's jacket??? the size was very small (ordered XL) and it was a tight fit, I am 5'11" and 220 lbs

Cons: Bad design

super light, amazingly dry, carry everywhere
February 26, 2010

I was hoping this would be as compact as advertised, and extremely waterproof, and I was not disappointed. This will fit in the smallest corner of my day pack and when used along with my Precip pants, I can survive any storm imaginable. I carry this every day when commuting and don't have to worry about the surprise storms in Denver as I walk to the bus stop. this is also the perfect rain jacket for backpacking due to its extremely light weight and 100% waterproof. Seems to breath well, will have to test further in very humid environment.

Tall people need love too.
July 07, 2011

I really really want to love this jacket, it's exactly what I was looking for as far as waterproof and light weight but it is far far too short for anyone over 6'2". The jacket looks and feels great but it just needs to be about 2" longer in the body. I am fairly tall and thin at 6'4" and 175 lbs. For a slightly shorter person this jacket would be fantastic but if you are a tall thin person then I would look elsewhere for rain protection.

Pros: Great design, Cons: too short

Super Dry and Light!!
December 09, 2009

Wore this jacket while I was on the Lions Head trail at Mt. Washington this spring and it didn't let me down. It's true to form - super light and keeps you dry, which is what you need on the trail when nasty weather rolls in. Another great product from Marmot.

This jacket is the perfect combination between lightness and impermeability. Ideal for expeditions where lightweight equipment is a must. Its breath-ability is great too. One of the best pac-lites in the market.

Lightweight and not as durable as expected
April 03, 2010

This jacket is no doubt lightweight and would be great for a minimalist but some of the features are not condusive to what I do. the material is extremely lightweight and would rip somewhat easily and the front main zipper is very lightweight and small and opposite of every other jacket zipper I have every used. Would be great for a minimalist but not for me.

Great rain gear
October 02, 2009

After years of suffering with cheap rain gear I finally decided to buy a high quality rain jacket. No more clammy shells that are completely soaked from the outside and inside after 30 minutes of rain. The Nano is lightweight, packs small, and breathes well. I would give it 5 stars, but I think the price was too high. It's worth it though if you spend any significant time outdoors.

Nice but be aware of the fit.
March 01, 2012

I just received this today. Super lightweight, I'm talking tissue paper light. Would be great to take on a hike. But for me that hike would have to take place in July or August because I'm not getting much more than a t-shirt zipped under this thing. I am 6'3" 215 with an athletic build and the XL just fits as is. If I were to add a fleece or even my Marmot Power Stretch top it would be fairly constricting. It's a great jacket for a smaller build. And as the other reviewer said, it is a tad short on a tall person. But I could almost live with the waist level length if I had more room for layering. Looks like my new updated Marmot Minimalist wins out over the Nano. The newly updated Minimalist is dead on for fit and layering. Perfect with just a T but can handle a mid layer.

Pros: Build quality, Cons: jockey sized xl?
