Topping the charts year after year, the "Original's" legendary, cozy, wind-blocking warmth is now being handed down from one generation to the next.
Fit Tip: Fits true to size. Roomy in the arms and plenty of freedom to move in the shoulders. Sleeves are good and long. Shirt fits just below the belt and does not have a cinching waist.
A very good windbreaker
I'm very very happy with this. It's basically a long underwear shirt with a nylon shell over it.
It's more water resistant than I expected. I spent a day in light rain and never needed to bust out my rain jacket because this did the job.
It's very warm for it's weight.
Light weight, tough protection
A late spring, summer, early fall type of jacket. I'm 5'8, 150lbs and the medium fits with plenty of extra room for layers so I can even use it in cold weather. Definitely not an athletic cut so I'm considering purchasing a small for trail running. In some products the mesh vent performance is barely noticeable but in this jacket is is very functional. Check out Marmot Catalyst jacket if your looking for something with more stretch and pockets.
Great on the trail and around town
The Marmot: Men's Original Driclime Windshirt is a winner, no doubt. The shirt is so breathable, moves smoothly, and is just wind resistant enough to keep out the bite. I wear this for long and short runs, also to work, and out and around with my wife and kids. Love the windshirt, will buy more.

Light and versatile
I bought this windshirt because of its lightweight and warmth. I use it mainly for hiking. It is a very versatile piece of clothing and it forms the outer layer. It's great for the first mile of hiking when I'm warming up and to put on when I stop for a break. I also use it to supplement my sleeping bag during cooler nights.
very versatile high quality.
Can't go wrong with these. Lightweight, wind resistant, great for layering.
Fourth in a series
Fautless product. When you find something that works.. you keep it in your tool box.
All previous versions met their demise due to user error.
No. 1 - too close to a camp stove
No. 2 - Poor color choice (Never buy a bad color just because it is on sale) Presently retired on the back of an Octogenarium Golfer in FL.
No. 3 - Left on a plane (ugh.)
No. 4 - Bought on sale from Altec... AND in the color I wanted.
Time to respect the windshirt.
Begining with the Alpinist...Marmot had been my outerwear company of choice...since moved over to Arcteryx.
The Windshirt stays...
This is the greatest piece of clothing ever designed. No... really.
Like the rest of the reviews say....
My single favorate piece of clothing...actually pieces since I have 2 (you have to wash them eventually). Lightweight windbreaker in summer and partial VB over a light zip-t with insulation and a softshell on top in the winter. Buy (at least) one!
Most Versatile Piece of Gear I Own
This is not only the best, most used, most versatile piece of clothing I own, it is the best piece of gear I own. Period. It is a perfect baselayer, midlayer, or shell depending on conditions. I used it in winter in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina for a week as a baselayer with only a wicking T-shirt underneath (on a related, but equally important note, it didn't get very funky in that week either...and I put it through the ringer). Comfortable on its own from about 45 to 60. Cold...throw a fleece on OVER it...it layers so easily over the smooth nylon face. On those cold nights throw a down jacket on over the top. If you get a little warm you can push the sleeves up and use the zipper to vent. It wicks moisture to the nylon face and dries quickly. It's light enough and packs small enough I take it with me literally everywhere. I couldn't rate the Driclime Windshirt any higher. I also suggest the Driclime Vest for more rigorous actvities or slightly warmer temperatures. Marmot Driclime may just be the most versatile gear on the planet.
Army Incognito
I spent a year in Iraq with this thing. Although it's not authorized for wear by the army, the collar is easily tucked under the ACU top when zipped 3/4 of the way. It's great for cutting the wind on cold days and far less bulky than the various issued outer garments.
fantastic
a great overall shirt for a wide range of conditions
Don't want to take it off...
I've only had this item for a month but it has quickly become one of my most versatile and favorite pieces of outer wear for those chilly, windy and wet Pacific NW days (which seem to occur frequently). I'm sure it will also be useful when I'm back in my Breckenridge residence for those chilly summer evenings or sudden afternoon thunderstorms. As usual, Marmot ROCKS!
Top Notch windshirt!
An Altrec CS rep recommended the Marmot, Men's Original Driclime Windshirt for cool/cold weather running. Perfect recommendation. It wicks sweat well, offers superior wind protection, and is at least water repellant. Moves very well and breathes. Excellent product!
Awesome jacket, would buy again.
I bought this jacket as I was about to travel around the US & it was the best thing I have for the trip. With an extended winter the need for something light that I could carry around everywhere was essential. I got caught in a blizzard in the rockies & had the jacket on & didn't feel any wind through the jacket at all. I would buy another 10 if needed.
Great! Great! Great!
I the most like this one windshirt in my closet, I will recommand my friends to buy one.
Still the best
This is my third wind shirt. It is the best multi-purpose
garment for outdoor activity that I have ever owned. You
can wear it over a t-shirt in mild weather or for layering in cold weather. Also, it takes up almost no room in a pack.
GREAT ITEM!
I have owned and used this product for years for all sorts of activities from climbing, cycling, and running. I won't be without one.........ever!
Useful and easy to carry
Nice lightweight windbreaker, great for the in between seasons. Light enough to carry all of the time. Keeps the wind off and is warm for the weight. Does OK for light drizzle, but may want more if expecting any rain. I would like it even better if it had a couple more pockets though. (Think the older models had side pockets.)
