Offering outstanding warmth and versatility, this Polartec®Classic 200 weight layer provides unparalleled quality and durability. Unlike inferior fleece, Classic products maintain their insulating capabilities and non-pilling appearance even after repeated washings. Flat lock seams, an elastic drawcord hem, and Angel-Wing Movement™ shoulder construction are modern updates that enhance the fit and performance of this legendary top. Zippered handwarmer pockets and a zippered upper arm pocket are other refined touches. best purchase ever
January 09, 2012

This jacket is very warm and it fit me well. It still looks good after washings. I saw other name brand sweaters for twice the price but can not believe they could be better than the marmot brand. I would suggest buying early to get best color/size choice as they sell out fast.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value

Good quality fleece
January 20, 2010

I bought this to use mostly as an insulating layer. This jacket is really nice and light weight, pretty much what I expected. The fit is great, the length and body is is perfect for me but the arms are a tiny bit tighter and shorter than I would like them to be.

Marmot quality shines through.

An excellent, well-fitting jacket. Zipper on left sleeve is a nice touch, too. Warm and roomy enough for a rain jacket over it. Good color also.

Very good fleece
February 09, 2012

I am particularly hard to please. This is probably the 15 fleece jacket I have bought in the past 25 years and its my favorite so far. Its is very warm and thick enough to wear on its own a brisk night. It also makes a great mid-layer for when I ski. I recommend it especially at the price you find it here for on Altrec.

Pros: Great design, Great value

Very nice and warm jacket

Marmot's quality is reliable. There are a lot of compliments warm and almost wind proof. This is one of the best mid layers that I've ever owned.

Great Fleece
May 11, 2011

This is a great fleece for a great price. I wear this jacket pretty much everywhere. The fit is good and looks really nice...another great product from Marmot!!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value

Fine garment.
January 05, 2010

I gave this fleece jacket to my husband and he says: "It's a better composite material than most fleeces; like the slightly larger size of the sleeve pocket; very comfortable in all conditions; and of course I look great in it."

Great style & quality + warmth
January 29, 2008

Lightweight with impressive functionality. I like the style as well. This is the only jacket I've been wearing this winter in Northern California ever since I had the jacket. I wish you would have the exact jacket but trimmed for women so I can get one for my wife.

Great fit, nice fleece
March 26, 2011

This is a REALLy nice piece. Super comfortable and a great fit. Fit is true to size and a bit on the athletic side. I'm 6'1", 190 and the Large is a good fit. The pockets are nice and there are drawcords to adjust the waist. The Forest green looks even better than the picture.

Great fleece
March 26, 2008

I like this fleece a lot. The fit is great, it has an athletic fit but still is roomy (more so than a lot of my other Marmot gear) it is pretty true to size. One thing that's kinda annoying is the placement of the pockets, it's somewhat akward. I really like this burnish color, I don't know why they discontinued it...

Great purchase
December 16, 2010

This fleece is very well built and soft. You may want to size up for shoulder comfort if you're more of an athletic cut, but I don't mind it being a little tighter through the chest and shoulders. I'm 6'2" and about 195 lbs and purchased a Large. The length in the arms and torso is perfect. The construction of thise fleece is much better than those sold at similar price points by other competitors. You will not be disappointed.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Warmth at the perfect price
February 26, 2008

One of the best mid layers that I've ever owned, and at this price for a Polartec fleece, it'll be very difficult to match in terms of both price and performance. Superb

Great jacket
August 19, 2011

I bought this jacket for my son and he says it is a great jacket. He is 5'11, 160 lbs & broad shouldered. The jacket is a slim fit without being tight. It is very warm on its own and as a mid-layer warm enough for 25 degree NYC winter. The fleece is soft, doesn't pill and the zippers work well. It has also retained the color after several washings. He loves this jacket

One word... Cozy
November 26, 2010

This is crafted from Polartec 200, and is heavier than most fleece jackets are made from. Dense, warm and fuzzy, this jacket has a form fitting cut, with sleeves that would be too short for the long armed. I'm pretty average sized, and the fit is perfect for me. As is the norm for Marmot clothing, this jacket is well designed and superbly made.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

Another winner from Marmot
January 07, 2011

Marmot never disappoints with their innovative and functional designs, and the Men's Radiator Jacket is no exception. The Polartec 200 fleece is the perfect weight to take the chill off here in Southern California when the temperature drops. The feel of the fabric next to your skin is soft and comfy and with the jacket's ability to dump heat on demand don't be surprised if you just leave this jacket on all day long. While the fit of the jacket is rather trim, I like it. Smalls are too small for me in the chest and shoulders but mediums are too long in the arms and too roomy in the midsection. The slim cut of this jacket fits just right. Plus, in order for the Polartec to really do its job it's got to be as close to your body as possible. Something else I'd like to point out about this Marmot jacket is the zippers. Marmot uses YKK zippers which are the best on the market. On top of that, Marmot has put easy to use and durable zipper pulls on the zippers. It's a nice little touch on a jacket already loaded with top-quality features. My experience with this jacket has led me to purchase more Marmot jackets from Altrec. Way to go Marmot!

Fits small, no wind protection
January 31, 2011

I ended up having to return this jacket. Unfortunately it does not offer any wind protection. In fact, after 5 min on my back porch in 40F degree weather with no wind, the cool air fully penatrated the jacket. As for the sizing, I recommend going up one size. The black jacket I had purchased looked a bit faded out of the package.

Marmot Radiator
February 21, 2011

I was looking for a go-to jacket when I went shopping online for a good value, warm, well-made fleece--the kind of jacket you throw in the trunk that's there whenever and wherever you might need it. Seems I've found it in the Marmot Radiator. I'd consistently heard good things about Marmot in the past. It was always nice to see a photo in a magazine of some guy wearing a Marmot jacket whilst clinging to an ice pick stuck in an ice face. If it's good enough for this fellow where life and limb depend on one's equipment and apparel, well then it's good enough for me. I ordered a large in this jacket at first but found upon trying it on at home that it is cut a little small in the shoulders. If you're wide or thicker up top, the x-large seems to provide a better, roomier fit. It did for me. The sleeves, consequently, too, were a little longer in the x-large which is nice because I hate jackets that have sleeves that slide up your wrists when you raise your arms. Another plus, too, is this jacket looks great with its high-quality fleece pile and that sharp logo on the upper back. I like that sleeve pocket--looks great and adds to the garment's overall functional, no-nonsense look. Very well-made too, what with those no-hanging-thread seams and those smooth as butter zippers. All in all, a great go-to jacket like I said. The only thing I would add to this garment is a little water-resistance from the factory. It's a nice excuse though for me to order another Marmot to add to the trunk...

Great Jacket small fit
January 11, 2011

I have a Marmot component jacket and I wanted to by a fleece layer to interchange them. This jacket is great as a stand alone or as a mid layer with a heaver jacket. Great warmth and style. The only thing is that it runs a small. The fleece layer that came with my component jacket is large and is a big on me. So I went a size down when I bought this one and the Medium was a bit snug. I will be getting the large. Other than that its a great buy. I have switched brands from North Face to Marmot for myself and my wife. We are very happy with the switch. Good luck.

All is left from 2008 quality is a brand name!
January 25, 2011

First I get Radiator jacket in December 2008 after long choosing in stores. That was only thing that fits all my requirements. Now I ordered replacement ("same" Radiator Jacket) online and was sure that 2010 model will be the same or better. I was wrong. 1. Fleece is not the same. It states the same weight and the same Polartec 200wt type, but it is definitely lighter and does not have the same surface and appearance. 2. It have 1 zipped pocket less (unfortunately most important for me) 3. Hand warming pockets have nasty hard plastic like surface in one side. 4. I don't like that nasty bright and ugly round emblem placed in the back! It looks like something stapled that does not belong here! It is good to keep the same price but not in exchange for quality! I will still use it since all that was good before gone and none available.

Pros: Ease of use, Great value

Nice quality jacket
January 03, 2010

I bought this jacket as a gift for my boyfriend. I liked the deep blue color and fit across the chest, however the arms were much too short. I bought a 'Large', but think the XL would fit better. He is almost 6'2, and quite thin.

Very nice and warm jacket
August 16, 2008

This jacket is very worm but light. This jacket is box style. if you like tightly fitted jacket, I don't want to recommend. Except the style, overall functionality is excellent.
