Great Jacket
April 22, 2012
I was in the market for a new jacket for spending time in the Boundary Waters, fishing, and hiking. I wanted a jacket that was light, kept out the water, and didn't feel like it was raining on the inside. I am very pleased with the fit and style and was able to test it in 4 hours of rain while fishing on the St Croix river. This jacket looks good enough to wear out on the town. I plan on picking up a larger size to layer late and early season. T
Pros: Performance, Great valueJust what I was looking for

I needed a jacket that met the following critera: Waterproof/breathable with fully taped seams Lightly lined wicking interior Zippered lightly lined pockets Adjustable pit vents Stowable hood Fairly durable with a good warranty This is the only jacket out there that I could find that met all of these criteria. I can't stand the "wet trash bag" feel you get with all other unlined waterproof jackets when you sweat. This does not feel like that at all. The wicking interior is dry and comfortable even when I am working hard. Sure, it's not as breathable as eVent when fully closed up, but the pit zips more than make up for that & the excellent venting means it can be used in the summer, too. The zippered pockets work great and the hood stores neatly in the collar when it is not needed. It's too soon to tell about long-term durability, but it appears to be solidly made. I am 6', 170#, 40" chest with avg to avg-long arms and the M fits me perfect. Not too loose, but not too tight that I can't fit a mid-weight fleece underneath it.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value
