Description

We look at the Marmot Work Glove, and think, Northwest skier or snowboarder. Why? Because of the ridiculous amount of waterproofing that has gone into this glove, and our typically damp snowpack. The glove starts off with a 2 layer stretch waterproof breathable MemBrain® fabric shell, and then ups the ante with a Gore-Tex® XCR® Performance glove insert. The result, virtually unparalleled waterproofness and breathability. Then Marmot throws in a bit of Thermal R synthetic insulation for warmth, and adds a Flex Zone palm with articulated Falcon Grip for dexterity and enhanced grasp. Other handy features include the soft fabric nose wipe, the safety leash, and the easy pull gauntlet cuff cinch. If you work or play in a wet, cold environment, slide your hand into the Work Glove from Marmot and enjoy warm, dry, comfortable digits

Men's Work Gloves 4.6 5 19 19
No-nonsense gloves These are a solid pair of gloves that I got to replace a pair of gloves from another company that failed. Whereas the old gloves have a synthetic (vinyl-ish) palm that wore through at the seam between the thumb and the palm, these have a durable leather palm that is double stitched for durability, so I expect these to wear well. Would be nice if these included a goggle wiper, but the soft nose-wipe material on both thumbs is a plus. These gloves would be ideal for somebody with a relatively wide palm and relatively short fingers. I wear a large in most gloves, and these have just a bit more room than necessary across the front of the palm. That's the only thing holding them back from 5 stars. Overall, very satisfied. Great mountaineering glove Gloves provide excellent protection up to -10C, good removable liner. both pieces can be used independently of each other. Excellent protection from the elements. November 10, 2011
Marmot Work Gloves Nice pair of gloves , keeps hands warm. They are a true fit. Order your exact size. I use these for my outside work and they have held up so far.I picked these over a pair of northface gloves. October 22, 2011
Great gloves for the money This is my second pair of Marmot Work Gloves - needed a different color. I use these for downhill skiing and find they to be great - especially for the value and comfort. Not the warmest in frigid temps but a thin liner glove takes care of that. They are durable and well suited for my needs. I see them lasting a good while. October 21, 2011
Good gloves a bit sweaty I recommend a pair of glove liners with this glove. I had to take them off every so often to allow my hands to dry. Also, when wet, it may be a bit difficult for fingers to find the right slots as the inner liner moves around a bit. But i like this glove. Hangs on your wrist when you have it off. Dries easily. Used skiing in Australia this past season so it was not too cold -5 to 5 Celcius. October 15, 2011
Great for backcountry skiing I use these gloves for multi day backcountry ski tours and inbounds skiing. They keep my hands warm and dry no matter what the conditions. The materials are durable and the palms have a good grip. The wrist cords keep the gloves secure for quick removal without worrying about dropping them off the ski lift or down a steep slope. I would recommend these gloves for cold and wet conditions. June 19, 2011
Used on a solo camping trip with temperatures down to the the teens. Very comfortable and functional. Snug fit for size, so cannot be used with a liner. March 8, 2011
good quality gloves I bought these gloves for snow shoveling and they performed very well, better than any other gloves I've tried. My hands have not gotten wet in them at all and the leather palms provide good grip. February 1, 2011
Worn in Ohio, mostly when temps are in the teens and single digits with snow... and the hands stay dry and toasty. I wear a large and the sizing is spot on with a little bit of room to wear a thin polypro liner if needed. These are by far the best gloves I have ever owned. Quality and durability are top notch! Wouldn't buy any other. January 8, 2011
Revised Review! Alright, I give. As much as I want to love these gloves, I just can not do it. My hands froze in these things last night when I went snowshoeing. As in I had to turn around and head home 30 minutes into my trek. I have read all the reviews on these gloves, not just on this site but many others as well, and they seem to satisfy everyone else, guess they just can't handle the ND cold weather and wind. I really love everything else about them, build, looks etc, but keeping my hands warm is my top priority and these fail at that aspect...miserably! December 9, 2010
One of the best gloves! I have had these gloves for one month. I live in Moscow (Russia), where now cold winter. I use they when temperature below 20 Celsius. They very warm, waterproof and very comfortable. These gloves are one of the best gloves I have had. I highly recommend these gloves not only for skiing but also for everyday using when weather is cold. February 6, 2010
Buy these gloves! I have extremely large hands, and find it difficult to find dependable,hard-working gloves that provide both good fit and good performance. I have skied in these glove three times since I purchased them (once In 3-degree weather here in Upstate NY) and they have kept my hands very warm and dry. Higly recommend to any looking for a great ski glove! January 25, 2010
Do Everything Cold Weather/Snow Ski Glove Shovel your driveway first thing, then ski in them later that day. Absolutely the best winter glove out there for the price. Very waterproof, breathable and comfortable on. Will last years. January 19, 2010
Great Gloves for a reasonable price Warm and comfortable with a nice cuff. Dexterity is the best I have experienced. Also come in XXL which makes them very warm for large hands. January 12, 2010
Finally, a product that works as advertized These are the best work gloves for the cold I have every owned and being in construction for over 27 yrs that says something about how great these are. January 8, 2010
Best hard working quality, warmth & comfort with real dexterity! These gloves set the standard for quality, dependability and warmth with the dexterity and grip that I need in real world conditions when I'm winter backpacking, skiing or just having fun in a snowball fight with my kids. They are easy on/off, very waterproof, breath well and the comfortable linings wick moisture to keep my hands genuinely dry. A bonus benefit for me is the availability of size XXL that allows me to slightly oversize for my XL hands to use a variety of removable liners under exteme conditions. These gloves are not inexpensive, but they offer a high value investment in years of rugged and comfortable service. October 13, 2009
Good to Go I have had these gloves for three weeks. I live in CO and am out nearly every weekend. This past weekend I used them in a survival class on Saturday where it was very cold and snowboarding on Sunday. Both days my hands stayed warm and I can tie a figure 8 pretty easy with these gloves on. They are fleeced lined and quite comfortable. Some of the best gloves I have had for being out day after day and keeping my hands ward. I nice upgrade would be a fleece overlay on the finger and thumb for wiping the nose. October 12, 2009
Can't go Wrong with These My son has had a pair of Marmot Ultimate Ski Gloves for 12 years. Convinced me to go with these for my Colorado outdoor activities. Great all purpose glove January 18, 2009
Love these gloves! I am a ski instructor in Colorado. I was given a pair of these from a student as a Christmas gift in 1995. I just wore them out last season. They are well fitting, warm and simple. The only complaint that I have with them is that they make my hands stink after a full day on the slopes. November 23, 2008
