No stress on the back
January 07, 2012
This backpack is an excellent pack for weekend trips or even the daily commute. It has a large laptop compartment and a regular compartment to store clothes/papers,etc. The back padding on the Marmot Notch 30 is very soft and is comfortable even if you are carrying and immense amount of stuff. The backpack is also surprisingly light despite how large it might look when it is stuffed. The only issue I have with the backpack is that the zippers are a bit unconventional. The zipper loops tend to come off the metal part of the zipper because they're not secure. If the loops comes off the zipper and you happen to lose it, then it will be impossible use the zipper. It's easy to put them back on, but I don't know why Marmot would create zippers that come off so easily.Pros: Build quality, Cons: Bad design
