Easily adjustable. I can wear it in the winter while snowshoeing with an ear band underneath it and quickly readjust if I get to warm and take off the ear band. I Look forward to summer use where it'll really shine. Hat fits and looks good, I'm already thinking of buying another in a different color.

It's a great sleek, and low profile hat for my small/medium dome. It's waterproof, yet breathable, with a nice inner sweat liner, so really comfortable. The other bonus is, hand washing is easy and it dries super fast.

Needed a hat that would keep my head dry and found this. As others have stated, it fits great. It "hugs" your head without sticking up as some baseball hats do. For me, that is a huge plus. Very comfortable and extremely light weight. It seems to be well made, time will tell if it deserves 5 stars on durability. Honestly, I would expect a hat like this to cost a bit more. I see typical baseball caps that sell for 20 bucks. This is not typical and I'm very happy with the purchase. Altrec was pretty good too. Ordered on Sunday, it arrived on Tuesday.

should have purchased this years ago. In the Pacific NW it kinda rains a lot! This hat totally keeps your head dry. It is a lightweight, comfortable hat. It is so light, you almost can't feel it on you. And what a job it does. Working outdoors, this little gem is a must have. Quality build. 5 star all the way.

I have used this Precip Cap and found it to be very well fitting and comfortable. During a heavy rain storm it kept my head completely dry. I would highly recommend it.

this hats looks to be well made,and will work perfectly on a rainy day to keep the hood up on gore tex jacket..it could also stand alone on not so rainy days..the fit is great

I like this hat. Just spent a week wearing it every day, all day on the lower Columbiua River fishing. Constant rain some days. This ball cap helped keep my rain coat hood from obscuring my vision and did not wick moisture at all. When used by itself it was flawless in function. Fit? If it came down even one half inch further it would feel more secure. As is, it feel like it's going to blow off all the time (though hasn't done so yet).

Outstanding foul weather hat. I run in Seattle rain and have tried all the hats - OR, mountainhardware, etc. I really like the marmot precip. It is truly waterproof and comfortable to run in. Decent inside band.

Nice hat for the price. Good weatherproofing in a couple of storms so far. OUt in a moderate rain storm yesterday and returned with a dry head. Nice compact design.

I ordered the Precip Cap for hot, SoCal hikes, however upon further inspection, this cap is clearly a rain cap. I was looking for a hat that has moisture wicking and rapid cooling technology. I did a lot of internet research and this cap seemed to be the best balance of technology, stowability and looks. While the cap is very good quality, stowable and features a mesh inner lining, the shell is 100% nylon with no vents, pores or indication of hot weather design. I'm sure it would be a great rain cap.

It was purchased for spring and early summer hiking in Colorado. Didn't have chance to test it properly yet, but it's great for wet and windy workouts. The lining feels good against the skin and helps to wick away perspiration. Only concern so far - it's a little too tight.

Wanted something lightweight but waterproof. Provides protection from sun, rain (or snow) but is cooler than a cotton cap in warm weather.

This hat was the perfect color and style. Unfortunately, it was too small. I thought I ordered an XL but it was one size. I think I have a larger than usual head. Nonetheless, the product was great, just cut a little small.

Got this hat for my husband to take on an extended hiking/climbing trip overseas and it worked out fine. It's fits very well, is very light-weight/cool, waterproof, and still looks stylish in the nice bright color. (My only minor criticism is the over-size brand name on the front. Although they made the color of the embroidery suble, I'm not sure I like the size/placement of the MARMOT label.) Otherwise, it's a great item.

This Marmot Cap is the best ball cap for hiking or anything. I have a small head and the fit and comfort are the best. It is fleeced lined around the band, and I use it in dead winter when the wind isn't blowing backpacking high-up and it is warm enough.

The cap is waterproof and plan to use it with my rain coat when I go out walking in case if rains or when it is not raining, I'll use to keep the sun off my head. The hood on my rain coat is slightly large and hangs over my face. The cap will keep the hood in the correct position while shedding the rain.

I bought this cap for a trip to Peru to hike the 4 day Inca trail in the rainy season. My head, neck and ears stayed warm and dry in 3 days of pouring rain. a great product and very water proof and warm.

I like the waterproof characteristics about this hat but found it to be sized a little small, it sits too high on my head and often feels as if it were about to fall off. otherwise nice material on a quality made product. Next time around I think I'll try the Mountain Hardware Downpour cap.

More than what I expected

First of all, the box came in the day it was promise. Very fast service. The cap fits perfectly. I wear a size 7 1/2 and the velcro adjustment works great. The material is pretty cool to wear and doesn't make me sweat as much. Thank you so much for such an awesome product and excellent price. You just got a customer for life.

fit disappointing

It's supposed to be one size fits all and my head is not large but the fit is uncomfortably tight and I'm afraid it will fall off because it sits too high on my head. disappointing.
