Finally!!!
January 11, 2012
This glove fits my large hands and keeps them warm while riding my snow machine at -20!! Thanks. We have searched and searched for a pair of gloves that fit and finally we have succeeded in finding a pair.
Super Warm!
January 01, 2012
Wow! This glove is so warm. My fingers get cold very easily and I was looking for a glove that could keep my hands toasty warm when the temperature falls below freezing in NYC. The randonnee did the trick. The drawcord helps keep the wind out. Although I purchased an XS, the fingers are still a bit too long. But, this glove is a keeper!
Great gloves

Great gloves, high quality. Great fit and outstanding quality. Best glove I have ever bought. They are also very comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueComfortable - Waterproof - Warm

Simply put, these gloves are comfortable (soft inside), waterproof, and warm. The GoreTex fabric keeps the wind out and allows your hands to breathe. I wore these during vigorous activities. In one case, I submerged most of the glove in a frigid water while working outside and my hands never felt a single drop inside! They will dry out quickly as well between uses. While I mostly wore these while being pretty active outside, I believe the gloves would be great at simply keeping hands warm. The grip of this glove is tremendous and can be used for driving in the winter. You won't regret buying these gloves - they are top-notch!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceWarm and Dry

These gloves are just what I was looking for. Warm and dry and with some good finger movement too. I have tried mittens with liners and feel gloves are the best for skiing. Altrec helped me with the size and I ordered a little larger than their guidelines. I am glad I did, as they fit perfectly. I've skiied for many years and when I find great gloves, then are with me for a while. These look like they will last. Lots of companies were out of my size, but Altrec came through.

I bought these gloves to replace a pair of Columbia gloves that ripped after wearing them only twice. They have proven to be much warmer and of much better quality than the Columbia. I have been using them to shovel all the snow we have had here in New York and they are holding up very well. They are also very comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useSnug and warm

I purchased these gloves to replace a basic pair which kept soaking through on me. These are very warm and fit true to the sizing chart. I was worried the medium would be too tight (I measured right at 8.5") but it's perfect. Any bigger and the large would have been a better bet. The construction quality is evident and finger movement unrestricted.

Great fit and outstanding quality. Best glove I have ever bought. I ski about 30 days a year and don't like cold hands.

These are the warmest gloves I have ever own. The primaloft insulation is very effective for the cold and wind. Snowboarded in these gloves for 5+ hours in Mammoth, CA. My hands were well protected against the elements, stay warmed, and of course dry (Gore-Tex). The interior lining of the gloves is very soft and comfortable. I also picked up a pair of these gloves for my girlfriend; her hands get cold very easily. I suggested to her to try out my gloves for a bit. Even thought my gloves were big for her hands, she noticed how warm the gloves were. Side-note: I normally wear a size MEDIUM with gloves by North Face, but with these Marmot gloves I had to size down one size. Just something to consider.
great gloves, high quality, XXL is perfect for large hands.

i was looking for a pair of really warm gloves to fit my rather large hands. typically, i have difficulty finding gloves at any local retailer in size XXL. Very roomy and true to size. If this helps, my hands are large enough to palm a regulation-size basketball yet I am only 6'2" and 225 lbs. These Randonnee gloves are WAY nice. Highly recommend these gloves, they are very high quality!!!
Great down to -5 F
January 10, 2004
Last night I skied this glove in weather that went down to -5 F. They did an excellent job - my fingertips were a bit chilled at the end of the night but that was about it. They stayed breathable the entire time, and I didn't lose too much dexterity vs. my regular shell + liner combo. One thing to watch for is that sizing seems to run big, I'm usually medium but a small Randonnee felt like a much better fit. Highly recommended!
