Comfortable and Sylish

Hat fits and looks great. It is a good hat to wear while being active in cold weather, as it is warm but won't make you too hot. The only con is that I feel the part of the hat that covers the ears could be a little tighter, thus allowing less wind into the hat. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Don't throw it in the washer!
January 04, 2011

I've had this hat for a year. It does a good job of keeping the cold out, regardless of how it looks. It really hasn't shown any signs of wear, but after a year, I figured it needed to be washed. I put it in a lingerie bag, in cold water, with Woolite, on the gentle cycle. I put it on low heat for just a few minutes to at least get the drying process started. When I took it out, it looked pretty bad. It's made of wool, and the yarn had gone nuts. In other words, it went from a fairly smooth finish to very fuzzy. I looked inside the hat and noticed the label said "hand wash, dry flat". They meant it!

I brought this product as a gift for a family member. I tried this hat on and came up with the same opinion as the person i gave it to. This Marmot hat is really not of the same quality of previous things i've purchased that were Marmot. The material seems to be cheap and poorly constructed. the interior lining runs only at the bottom of the hat. Sizing of this hat runs just as you would expect for a winter hat. Overall, I will not personally recommend this hat to anyone. Instead i'll purchase one of the following brands: DaKine, Northface, Carhartt, Patagonia, or Arc'teryx.

Pros: looks great, Cons: Wears quickly, Bad design, Low performance, Poor quality

great hat

I love the style and fit of the hat. it's a great hat on a cold and blustery day. not windproof, but seems wind resistant. it doesn't seem like it breathes all that well though. I love it. it's without a doubt the warmest hat I've ever had.

Very stylish

Not your ordinary "watch cap" this has a lot more class and warmth.
