Description

As rugged as the mountains that inspired the name, you'll be warm and happy for years to come in the Marmot Sawtooth 15 Degree Sleeping Bag. A proven all-rounder, this 600+ fill power goose down bag is good to 15 degrees F because Charlie said so. Charlie lives in a testing center in Norway, and he's a copper mannequin fitted with 20 sensors whose job is to provide unbiased statistical data on the temperature range of gear. There's an endless array of features on this bag, but design elements like the stretch tricot baffles, classic trapezoidal foot box, and 6-baffle hood are key to your warmth and comfort. Also instrumental are the ground-level side seams, which eliminate drafts, and the heat bump draft tube. Easy to find drawcords, a Velcro®-free face muff, and a pocket for heat packs in the foot box are other intelligent touches. Get warmth, and time-tested thoughtful design, in the Sawtooth 15 Degree Sleeping Bag from Marmot.

Great Product by Marmot!
March 12, 2012

I've had this bag for a little over a year and I can't stop talking to my friends about how much I love it. I have used it car camping and on longer backpacking excursions. Slept in it on snow in the Cascades and stayed toasty warm. Comes with a nice storage sack. Sleeping bag compresses nicely (highly recommend getting a sea to summit compression sack) and is very light weight in my pack. Marmot is a great brand and has done a very nice job on this sleeping bag. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Marmot, Best Sleeping bags on the market!
May 14, 2011

This is the second Marmot bag I have owned and just like the first, the quality is second to none. The bag is a bit heavier than the 850+ fill Helium that I have but still very warm and plenty light enough and packs well enough for my young son to carry. The quality and construction is what you have come to expect from Marmot especially in there sleeping bags. Zipper runs smooth, the cut is perfect, and theincluded stuff sack and storage sack is awesome. Excellent Marmot product!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use

Fantastic Sleeping Bag
March 01, 2011

I bought the Extra wide Long bag because of my height and broad shoulders. The bag is a wonderful fit. It is really warm and comfortable for camping trips where the temp is cool-cold. The constuction is great. Classic Marmot quality!! I would highly recommend this bag

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Amazing bag for around 200$
October 25, 2010

I couldn't be happier with this sleeping bag for the money it costs. I've used it once so far for three nights in the low to mid 30's and it was extremely comfortable. I've noticed once in a while a bit of down finds its way out of the bag. I believe it just gets through thread holes when compressing and I don't believe it is really a problem. Aside from that, I felt like I was sleeping in a 400 dollar sleeping bag.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, compressibility

Very good bag
September 03, 2010

Compresses small, no cold spots, good zipper and shoulder baffles to block cool air from entering. I am 6'2" and got the long. it is plenty long, with room to move.

Great bag
July 26, 2010

Am 6'2", 205 lbs and I ordered the Long. Plenty of room, and warm enough. I don't feel claustrophobic in this bag like many of the others I looked at. I'm also a side-sleeper, and was able to "twist" inside without trouble.

great bag
March 06, 2010

This is just what I was looking for well made, light, warm and packs small. The xl size is great for us bigger guys. Highly recommended

good bag for big men
March 03, 2010

At 6'5" and 300 lbs it has been an ordeal finding a sleeping bag that would comfortably fit my body, and yet pack down to an acceptable size for bike touring. This bag achieve both and i am very excited to try it out on the road in the coming weeks

Lightweight and Warm
January 24, 2010

This bag is lightweight, compact, and comfortable down to the advertised temperature if I'm wearing good thermals inside of it. My only issue is that the "long" model seems way too long (I'm 6' 2" and would go with the regular if I were to buy again).

Nice quality, but haven't tested it yet
August 16, 2009

The sawtooth is a well-made and well-designed bag. I bought the large and it still is light and packs small due to the down fill. Haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet, but will at Yosemite in two weeks. Can't wait.

Great bag

Nice large size, very cozy, very lightweight and packable.

Bag was a gift
April 28, 2009

This bag was ordered as a gift for our grandson who lives in Montana. He needed a bag that was rated for 15-20 degrees and we ordered this one after checking all the reviews for various 15 degree bags. We hope he enjoys it. We were impressed with the lightweight properties and the fact that it came in a mesh bag that allows the bag to breathe and fluff back up after being rolled up tight for camping.

Amazingly Warm

Comfortable, warm and snuggly. A great buy!

Can't go wrong with this bag
September 14, 2008

Great bag for the money. My husband used this bag for hiking the Andes, and it kept him warm and comfortable in below 30 degree nights, even when he was ill from the effects of the altitude. The zippers did not snag, the bag is lightweight and there was enough room to move around. Worked well with a compression sack like Sea to Summit's eVent sacks.
