Just wore these on a cold ski trip in Maine. Did not wear the interior glove - thought the gloves were a little too snug to keep hands warm. Just wore the mittens and they were pretty great. Not the warmest/thickest ever, but there was plenty of room in the mittens, they were long enough on the arm and fit comfortably over jacket sleeve. My hands stayed dry and they were windproof. Love having the straps to keep mittens on wrist when you take them off. Wish the interior gloves were a little larger in the women's medium size. The gloves run too small but the mittens were just right.

I bought these mittens because I wanted something good for backcountry touring. The fleece liner is enough to keep my hands warm for a long climb (without making my hands sweat, which most mittens do), and then the mittens are plenty warm for the descent. I recently skied with just the outer mitten and some handwarmers in Utah when the temps were below freezing, and my hands stayed perfectly warm. I like them so far and think they are a great price for what you get!
