Marmot Gravity Jacket - Women's

Awesome jacket

I fell in love with this jacket. I bought it based on many of the reviews on Altrec, in hopes of it catering a little more to the taller girls. Unfortunately, I will be sending it back. I am a lanky 5'11 and the sleeves were 1 inch short of even reaching my wrists. I don't think that my arms are disproportionately longer than my height, so I'm perplexed as to how some of the other taller people seemed to love the fit. Maybe my shoulders are too broad and that hikes the sleeves up? Anyway, awesome jacket otherwise :) Just wish I could keep it!!

I bought this jacket for my teenage daughter. She is the coxswain on her crew team and the fabric on this jacket is the perfect weight and warmth for cool, Spring and Fall New England evenings and mornings, while rowing on the rivers. It is a great fit for her and she loves it! We own several Marmot jackets and think they are the best made.

Great multi season jacket

Great athletic fit. It may run a little small in bust. Great for layering a few thinner layers underneath. Look good as well as casual jacket.

The jacket fits great. I am about 5'5'' and i got the small. It fits great. A little bit if a more fitted jacket. I love that the arms are long as well.

This jacket has a great fit, it actually has shape to it. Plus it's a high quality soft shell. It's definitely my go-to one for most days. I will buy one another color too!

I recently purchased the men's version for my husband. I liked it so much that I purchased one for myself. This jacket is very comfortable and wind-proof. Nice tapering fit around the hips and flairs out at the waist. Again, great fit and very stylist.

I'm very picky about my jacket collection but this is a winner. It's comfortable, fits a woman's body well, and is warm. I thought I could buy one straight away at dick's sporting goods, but they didn't carry the gravity in a woman's cut, and there is a difference. Glad I went looking for it online.

I'm a 6' tall woman with long arms, and it's difficult to find jackets long enough for my arms that don't fit me like a tent! The Marmot Gravity Jacket is form-fitting and the sleeves are definitely on the long side, making it perfect for taller women. Note: I'm very slender, and the small was too tight through my chest. The medium fits perfectly!

Bought the jacket to use in South America for mild winter weather trekking in the altiplano. Plan to also use it for cold weather biking in States. Love the fit, the security pocket for international travel, and the bright color for street wear. I, too, found the jacket slightly snug in the chest for me.

Women's Gravity Jacket

I got my gravity jacket and I was a bit nervous since the reviews did mention that it would be a bit tight around the chest area. I ordered the XS and I had no problems. It fits great and it I like the fact that is not like any other jacket (not a sack) this one has a womens shape to it. I wore it that same day and this weekend I'll be going hiking and it will be part of my trip. Can't wait! I love the espresso color as well.

Better than competitor versions

I bought this jacket shortly after having my baby as my north face apex was then to small. Immediately post baby, I was 135 lbs/ 34 E bust (I'm 5'2"). The medium fit well with room for a thin fleece underneath. The arms were a litte more roomy than I usually like, but not toom much so. Now that I've shed another ten pounds there is much more room- I could go down to a small but I like it that I can layer up quite a bit. Other pluses:it has a longer cut in the back than the apex, and it feels thicker, also the arm pocket is a nice addition- the seams are well seam. Over all very pleased especially b/c this usually runs cheaper than the apex.

The fit is perfect for my wife's slim frame. The sleeves are plenty long enough. The Marmot material is warm and substantial, much more burly than some other thinly built jackets.

Marmot is amazing! I bought this jacket as my first piece of adventure wear and I love it! I bought a small and it fits nicely unless I wear a sweatshirt...then it's a little snug. Great price and holds up nicely in any weather!

Very warm and water resistant for a soft shell. Sleeves are nice and long and the jacket is fitted and flattering.

It is an excellent jacket for the price. Warm and water repellent. I love the inside security pocket. It is a little small through the chest for me. I can't layer more than one tech shirt beneath. If I went a size bigger, it would be too big in the shoulders and arms. That is the only downside - unfortunately I fall a little in between sizes.
