Great Jacket
Comfortable jacket that is great for hiking. A fleece is all you need under the jacket to keep warm on a cold day. The jacket kept me dry in the rain in Scotland. Fit is true to size. I would recommend this product. My husband loved it so much he got one too.

nice jacket
I bought this for my wife as her first true technical shell. Compared with other Marmot gear, she found the sizing smaller than usual. She absolutely loved all of the features including the awesome color.

My wife wanted a simple waterproof shell jacket that she can layer underneath when it gets cold on her walks. Also wanted to be able to dump heat on the uphills. So far its fitting the bill. Good product.

Great Jacket - again
We liked the first Oracle jacket (that we bought for our son) so much that I ordered one for my wife. Light weight, seems to be of good quality, and looks great, too.

Great jacket, great service
LOVE the oracle jacket and how it doesn't feel clammy inside when wet like others I've had in the past. Altrec's prices and service are fantastic as always. I'll be returning here for many future purchases.

Great jacket for the price
Very much a loyal Marmot consumer, I found this jacket perfect for both rainy weather and the cold. I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs. and the Small fits great as a shell over fleece and layers. The Angel-Wing movement in the sleeves really gives me versatility, and yet still is flattering. The DriClime on the neck piece and sleeves is a nice touch, which makes the jacket more comfortable. If you are looking for a super lightweight rainshell, this isn't the one. But if you want something with more substance, this is a do-everything jacket which won't leave you disappointed.

An excellent jacket for the price
This is a great jacket that does everything Marmot says it will. I've used it in pouring rain and the water beads up and rolls off. I've used it hiking, and the heat evaporates (the side zippers are especially cool -- literally)! The one drawback I've found is with the hood/brim, which tends to slide down over my forehead...but then, it's still better than any hood/brim on any other rain gear I've yet tried, because at least it has a little stiffness that enables it to keep the rain out of your face. This "problem" doesn't obstruct your view of the ground in front of you, but of the terrain from about eight feet ahead and beyond. Oh, and one other thing I liked: it's fitted only slightly, so that I can wear a sweatshirt underneath... although there's no room to spare after that. FYI, I'm a chunky mama (though not fat, if you please). All in all, an excellent jacket for the price.

impressive construction
I'm really impressed with the fit and overall quality of this jacket. The front pockets unzip to vent really well, but have a deep, inner mesh pocket that is big enough for a paperback, a CD, and lunch yet deep enough to leave unzipped and have nothing fall out. On my first day, I wore the Oracle jacket on a WET trail run. I wore a mid-weight capilene underneath and I felt very comfortable. Some users may not like the inner surface of the jacket, which is sort of slick and plastic-y. I wore a full layer underneath, but may not like this next to my skin. The jacket is lightweight and totally lives up to expectations. I'd buy it again.
