Typical Merrell - great quality. Over all fit good - runs on the smaller side. Made to get wet. My son got the dark blue. looks like will hide dirt well. I wouldn't say that they are leather. More of a solid fabric. inside shoe on sole is a rubber material. Looks like will wash well and not get stinky. His North face shoes similar to these last year stunk so bad. They smelled with in 2 days of washing. Seem to be better quality than North Face similar sandal. They have velcro in back as well as over foot. Very adjustable. I really have no complaints about them. My son wore then with socks for a day to break in. I am going to try and order in pink for my daughter. Altrec was out of her size :( Will keep checking. Great shoe can't go wrong with Merrell. I have gotten my kids Keen, North Face, Stride Rite shoes - Merrell blows all of these out of the water - on all styles.
