My husband has been wearing this Merrell Jungle Moc leather shoes for the last 5 years, he always got one pair every December. But local shop stops carrying this style. We found Altec website and very happy to order this Merrell shoe style.

good looking shoe

Everything about this shoe is first calss with one exception. The insert they use squeeks with every step you take. I tried trimming it and moving it around with no success. it is the heal part of the insert that sounds like a monkey with every step. bugged the heck out of me so i went out and got new inserts and problem solved. The shoes are great and comfortable. would recommend them to anyone. Wish they would fix the squeak.

I have these shoes forever. They hug my feet like the first day I put them on even though now I use them for painting and the soles are completely worn down.... If you like a comfortable long lasting shoe this is it!

Awesome shoes that span the ages. Twenty-somethings,fifty-somethings and eighty-somethings all have ordered multiply. Great for indoors, good traction for slippery or unsteady surfaces outdoors,and comfortable for on your feet all day. Easy to slip on or off and attractive. They are totally worth the order time and the price! Please dont stop making these!

Very comfortable and nice looking. They are comfortable to wear around the house but are good with jeans or shorts. Would setrongly recommend for anyone in the market for a good, comfortable casual shoe.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He also has two pairs of the suede ones. All Merrell shoes are well made, comfortable, fit true to size and last for a long time. These are a little dressier than the suede, so he can wear these to work, but are as comfortable. Others have commented about the shoe "squeaking", but we haven't noticed that at all. Both my husband and I would recommend this product!

Love the way they look, but when worn they squeak with every step - and they run larger than the similar suede version. They were returned - will purchase the pig suede ones instead.

I'm very pleased with my new shoes. They were comfortable right away and are the second pair I've had. The last pair was used almost every day for four years and they're still OK, but starting to look worn. They're great all purpose shoes. Altrec was very easy to deal with and I received my shoes promptly.

These have become my standard everyday shoe. They are great!

I am a regular Merrell customer and particularly like the finish and color of this shoe. It is supportive, but soft and comfortable. This style isn't easy to find in stores locally. It is great to be able to order them easily from altrec.com.

They slip on easy after breaking in, and they look very nice. I don't think I'd take them for long walks but for normal walking, they are a great choice.

Levis. Fig Newtons. Remember when Steven Stills wore hiking boots on the CSN&Y album? That sold tens of thousands of pairs of hiking boots to real hikers and posers alike. Some products are iconic as they are, and tinkering with the recipe is very dangerous. Merrell Jungle Mocs are like that. They were and are a nearly perfect design. Not cheap, but very high quality. More all-weather than loafers, not as pretentious as sailing shoes. Other people have tried, but they're not Merrells. The original. The best.

Bought my first pair in 2006 still wear them two or three days a week. They show a little wear on the soles and leather around the heel but I would guess I'll still be wearing them a few more years. Just bought my second pair, different color, came in 5 business days, fit perfect, look perfect, gotta love Merrell's

Great all around shoe

Easy on and off. I can run in them. I took only this shoe to Peru for 3 weeks with lots of walking and some moderately rugged day hiking. I climbed the larger mountain at Machu Picchu (steep 2000 feet vertical in 4 hours round trip). I have bought 1 pair per year for the last 4 or 5 years and wear them everywhere except when wearing a suit or tux.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned that can be dressy enough for work and casual and comfortable enough for long weekend walks. The service from Altrec was excellent, and the shoes fit perfectly.

12 hour shifts

I ordered a pair of these for my husband to wear at work. He works 12 hour shifts, as a Respiratory Therapist, in a large hospital. The combination of long hours, concrete floors, peripheral neuropathy and needing to get from one side of the hospital to the other - in a hurry, is really hard on his feet and legs. These shoes fit like a glove, from day one. They really support and cushion his feet. He is ready to order a second pair; so he can change them out every other day and also because he refuses to wear his dress boots anymore!

I bought these for my husband because he had hip resurfacing and Plantar Fasciitis. His doctor recommended any shoe or sneaker by Merrell. He needed a shoe that he could wear to work. Within one week he felt more comfort in his feet. He loves these shoes and wears them everyday now. I would highly recommend them.

The company finally made a Jungle Moc you can wear to work or even or for dress. They're black, without any pull on strap; the other black ones have always had a garish red-yellow strap that made wearing them with a suit a bit dicey. They're so comfortable they make structured shoes feel like a medieval torture.
