Description

Lightweight and breathable, the Merrell Men's Moab Mid GORE-TEX XCR Hiking Boots are a mid-height boot that will keep your feet dry hiking in summer downpours and crossing mountain creeks. Based on the already popular Merrell Moab Boots, these hiking shoes have been enhanced with a premium Gore-Tex® membrane and an Aegis® Antimicrobial mesh lining to keep the water out and still maintain a high level of odor-fighting breathability. Even after a few seasons of tough use, your feet will be dry and comfy. A breathable mesh upper is reinforced with durable leather overlays and toe and heel caps in high abrasion areas.

An Ortholite® insole can be removed to accommodate custom orthotics or replaced with a softer insert after it wears out while the long-lasting EVA midsole cushions and supports your foot throughout the life of the boot. These trail shoes provide arch support, heel cushion and stability while maintaining flexibility to let your foot move naturally. The Vibram® Multi-Sport Outsole has aggressive lugs to grip any terrain on or off the trail.

Used in a wide range of environments from serving in Afghanistan to hiking in Morocco to everyday use at home or at work, this hiking footwear from Merrell will not disappoint. Customers are reviewing that these Merrell hiking shoes fit as expected for the most part, but keep in mind that if you plan on wearing thick socks it's always best to size up. Available in regular and wide widths, the Merrell Moab Mid GORE-TEX XCR Hiking Boots for men need no breaking in and are ready to roll right out of the box.

Men's Moab Mid GORE-TEX XCR Hiking Boot 4.8 5 78 78
Nice shoes The boots are sturdy and comfortable. I go to hiking frequently and these boots did not make my feet tired so far. I am in California and now it is winter. I am not sure if my feet are going to sweat or not in California summer in these boots. We will see. January 28, 2012
Premium Boots Fantastic pair of boots!! The Gore-tex is unbelievable, you can walk through puddles of water up past your ankle without even thinking about it. Highly durable material is great for the more rugged terrain. Very comfortable even on the first use, no problems at all, not even blisters on my heels, it was awesome. Most people say you have to order a half size up for hiking socks but that wasn't necessary for me. The arch support is really great as well, considering I have flat feet I thought I would need to use my own orthopedic insert, but again the comfort level was incredible! Highly recommend even for daily use. The outsole on this shoe will never allow you to slip. Truly unbelievable! December 22, 2011
Good Support, good tread Pretty good on loose or slippery terrain, but it takes some time to break these in. Laces hold up well and do not fray easily. QR eyelets have a pretty smooth action. You need to wear good socks with these if you top wrap your laces, as the top cuff transmits the tight wrap to your legs. Wide sizes are roomy w/o losing support (@ 2E). Had these out on a jetty as well as on a riverbank, and did better than my old pair of mendocinos. December 12, 2011
Excellent hiking boot First, awesome price for a Gore-tex boot with a grippy Vibram sole. Boots are very durable yet lightweight so they won't slow you down. Give great support and extremely comfortable from day one. December 10, 2011
These are very durable and comfortable shoes. We had a terrible winter here last year with winter precipitation that went well into spring and these carried me all winter, spring and summer. My feet were warm and dry and I work outside a lot so in cold months that is very important. I would not hesitate to purchase these again. October 30, 2011
They are not lying I've had quite a few hiking shoes. Almost all of them suffer from either water-resistance, ventilation, or durability. These Moab are the first pair that aren't a letdown. These shoes ARE water resistant, as far as I can tell. I've been walking in the rain and wet tall grass without getting any moisture in the shoes (not sure about water-proof though, since I haven't really worn them in streams or rivers). Besides, they go well with my jeans and cargo pants, making them suitable for everyday ware. Btw I have the Beluga color scheme. Pricey, yes; but I do expect many more years out of them. Highly recommended if you are looking for water-resistant/water-proof shoes that also have good breath-ability. It's my first Gore-Tex product, so guess I'll see how the water-resistance holds up. There is a Wikipedia article about this fabric, along with some good maintenance info. Definitely worth checking that out. October 2, 2011
Comfortable shoes These shoes are extremely comfortable and look great! I have been wearing them for a few weeks now and they continue to be extremely comfortable. I use them for work, general walks, and trail hikes. Highly recommended. True to size. Extremely light weight. October 1, 2011
GREAT ALL AROUND BOOT, BIG THUMBS UP! I WORK AT AN AIRPORT ON SMALL A/C AND OUT IN THE SNOW AND RAIN IN THE NORTH EAST. THESE ARE MY FIRST CHOICE IF THE SNOW IS NOT DEEP AND THEY ARE THE WARMER OF ALL MY FOOT WEAR. I WEAR A NORMAL 100% COTTON SOCK. MY FEET SWEAT A LOT AND THEN THEY GET COLD, BUT NOT IN THESE GORE TEX MERRELLS. AND IN THE PAST YEAR, I HAVE NEVER HAD A WET FOOT. I ALSO HAVE A COLLAPSED ARCH IN 1 FOOT AND NOT MANY SHOES ARE COMFORTABLE, BUT THESE PASS THE TEST ON A 10 TO 12 HR. DAY FOR A GUY IN HIS EARLY 60'S! BUY EM AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY! September 26, 2011
By fiance just keeps saying thank you It's been a whole year since I bought these boots to replace my fiance's grungy Merrel's he's had for years. While he felt they were a bit clunky at first, it is his go-to footwear for anything active/outdoorsy that we do. The quality of this product is like no other. Whether we're treking through the woods back in New England, camping in Flagstaff, or doing yardwork in Phoenix these hiking boots can handle it all. Would buy these all over again, he just loves them. September 6, 2011
I love these boots I love these boots. They are so nice and feel sturdy, yet comfortable. I love the padding on the sides too for slipping on rocks. These are the best all around boots. August 30, 2011
Solid Feel Excellent pair of boots, solid construction, durable. Highly breathable and water repellent.Used to walk for days and miles in Chicago and help with the weather in Windy, cold and rainy conditions. June 13, 2011
Love this boot- this is my second pair This is my "go to" hiking boot for most of my hikes. I hike in the mountains of New England almost every weekend. I find these boots to work for most of my hiking needs except back packing hikes. I have owned 3 pairs of the shoe version of this boot. Since I bought my first mid level Moab hiking boot I rarely wear my shoes. These are just as comfortable and light weight but give good ankle support. The best features of the boot are out of the box comfort with no break in period and their weight. The waterproofing meets most of my hiking needs but is not adequate for really wet conditions. The durability is average, the same as the shoe version. The tread is very good and provides great traction on the steep trails in New England. I used my first pair for 2-years before purchasing this pair. My first pair is still in good condition but the tread is starting to show some wear after many hikes. I would definitely recommend this boot June 3, 2011
Merrill Moab Mid Gore-Tex XCR Hiking Boot Like all other Merrill products I own, I am very happy with the way the shoes fit. I ordered 1/2 larger than I typically do for a better fit. The shoes appear to be well made, are extremely comfortable and very supportive. I also own a pair of Merrill hiking shoes that are not Gore-Tex and I can say it is worth spending the extra money to purchase the shoes with Gore-Tex as they are much cooler particularly after hiking for extending periods of time. These boots are excellent for long walks in the woods. Would probably get a heavier duty pair if rock/mountain climbing was the primary use. May 29, 2011
Hike Away! My husband LOVES these boots. They are perfect for the mountains and hills of Afghanistan. Light with good grip to help you keep and maintain your footing. They are durable and long lasting. When soldier are on their feet hours and hours at a time, roughing it thru such a treacerous and hot and cold climate. PERFECT! Get these if your command approves May 17, 2011
Light Hiking Boot I bought a pair of these to replace some older Dannon hiking boots. I wanted something lighter to go on summer hikes when I'm not backpacking, These boots were a logical choice. If anything they are too light to provide a lot of support in the ankle areas. But they are extremely light weight, and they support much better than low tops. The goretex makes them cooler while still being waterproof. I also ordered them in 13 wide, and that gave me lots of room for tows and my high instep. I would not recommend them for carrying a pack over rough terrain, but they work well for my easy trails. April 10, 2011
Great Shoe This is another great Merrell Shoe. They are comfortable right out of the box and need no break in. I've taken mine on a weekend hiking trip through the Shenandoah's and had no problem, lightweight, waterproof, nice grip. Great Shoe !!! March 31, 2011
Men's Moab Mid GORE-TEX XCR Hiking Boot More comfortable than any other knockabout shoe I have. Excellent bad weather performance. Rock solid construction and excellent grip. Great ankle support. February 10, 2011
Gore Tex and Chex Mix Gore Tex and Chex mix are two main components of a great hiking trip. The local store supplied me with the chex mix and Altrec with the Gore Tex, and boy did they do it with style and ease! Before I talk about the shoe I must say that Altrec is my #1 site to buy the kind of equipment that can keep me happy and keep me active. Now the boots...the Merrell Moab XCR's are the ultimate hiking/trekking boot. They are mid height which gives needed support to the ankles, they are vented enough to keep your feet cool but at the same time these boots are water proof. I stuck my feet in a water puddle while caving over Fall break, totally submerged up to the tongue and my feet were as dry as the splash zone at SeaWorld after Willy died (RIP Free Willy) February 2, 2011
Good product Had them for over a month now, the fit is good and they are very comfortable, have not test them for real wet conditions yet, good so far for normal rainy weather as I use them for my daily walks. The sizing size 10 is right on I am a size 10 Medium. One of the best pair I have had. The lacing system can be improved though for easier and a more secure fastening. January 24, 2011
Merrell rocks I have used Merrell boots for years and cannot find a fault with any Merrell I've owned. Out of the box, the Moabs are comfortable and flexible and I doubt very little break in time will be necessary. The gore tex will be well tested on our next Smoky Mountains hiking trip soon. Highly recommended. December 29, 2010
Great boots from a great boot company This is the second pair of Merrell boots I've owned, the first pair I bought in 1993 and they finally gave out. If this pair is anything like the first pair I'll be set for a while. These boots are light, comfortable, and waterproof. I am sold on Merrell footwear! December 27, 2010
Great Boot! I took these up the Grand Teton with little break in. My feet stayed dry, warm, and no blisetrs! They are light weight and comfortable. Best boot I've owned. December 25, 2010
Love this shoe This is the 2nd pair I have purchased. I needed the extra support that a "mid" gives me when hiking. For general purpose trips, these a wonderful. December 15, 2010
great buy great value in a comfortable hiking shoe fits true to size.light weight with good support.good for dry warm weather, not waterproof. December 5, 2010
Good boots Lightweight, warm, almost too warm cause Ur feet start to sweat. Waterproof and really comfy. I get compliments when I wear them all the time. What more can u ask for. December 5, 2010
Floating like a Butterfly Concerned about fit (9W) so double socked for first hike (5 miles). Found myself fading from thoughts about the boots after a short time. Didn't think about boots again until nighttime. Removed the boots and had found no residual affects (foot blisters or soreness) from wearing in 90* weather all day. For shorter hike (2.5 miles) I tried the boot with single sock. Because of the boots breathable an lightweight construction I found them to be more comfortable than the previous day. Looking forward to a longer hike (10+ miles). November 26, 2010
Best boots for the money I bought these boots in March 2010 . They have not let me down from the moment I took them out of the box. I own a landscape maintenance company and let me tell you I could not be happier with these boots. I can not say one bad thing about them I wear them everyday. Dry feet are a must.I will be buying a new pair this month . November 15, 2010
Great hiking boot! Bought these boots for my first trip to the AT...extremely comfortable, light-weight and durable! Highly recommended! Even for my first trip, I was suprised after the miles and miles of hiking, my feet were not more sore. November 10, 2010
Great boot, the usual Merrell quality. I really like the fact they are very light, not at all what I expected. November 9, 2010
Superior Boot Over the past two years I have worn out two pairs of water proof hiking boots by another manufaturer with the soles separating. After a month of hard , everyday use , these Merrell Mid Moabs are superior in every way. Light weight, superior support and waterproof; tremendous improvements... I hate to take them off! Try them & you will love them too. November 7, 2010
Hiking Shoes Shoes met my expectations and are great value for the price. Shoes arrived very quickly. October 21, 2010
Very Comfortable I bough these boots just before going to a Driving school. After one day of driving and kneeling in these boots the sole came unglued on eitherside of the toes. I know many people who have the non gortex version and have had better luck. this was very dissapointing due to the fact they are extremely comfortable. I now wear the Chameleon 3 gortex mid and have held up quite nicely here in afghanistan! October 15, 2010
I love them. I've done numerous trips and back packing adventures in these and they are still holding up. Fits true to size, however I do get blisters on my heals from time to time. October 13, 2010
Great Shoe I work for a large delivery company and needed a waterproof and comfortable shoe. A friend of mine said he lives in his Merrill shoes so I gave them a try. Right out of the box these shoes were the cats meow! Three weeks later and over 500 deliveries later they are now the most comfortable shoe I own! Well worth it! October 9, 2010
High Quality boots, no break-in needed Very happy with these boots, lightweight and comfortable right out of the box. September 13, 2010
Good, light weight boot This seems to be a good, light weight boot. I had them for about a week. I only wore them around the house in order to make sure they fit me right. I had to return them because they didn't fit me right, but there really wasn't anything wrong with the boot. I have an extremely difficult foot to fit because of Morton's Nueroma and the surgeries I have had to alleviate the pain. I usually have to try at least 8 - 10 different pairs of shoes before I find something that causes the least pain. September 8, 2010
GREAT BOOTS A++++ After owning a pair of my own for almost 2 years I bought these for my husband who LIVES in his loggers! He wasn't aloud to take the loggers on our camping trip...he wore these all weekend and loved them! They're comfortable out of the box and his feet stayed dry in 3 days of rain! Tried them on in a store and then purchased from Altrec bc they were a lot less expensive. Fit is true to size for both of us! August 14, 2010
Exceptional comfort with great ankle support. Merrell products rock! Ready for a long hike straight out of the box. So comfortable, I wear them almost every day, all day. August 12, 2010
Absolutley a great hiking boot..... First time on I thought I had put on my oldest and most favorite boot on. The fit and comfort was a total surprise for a new boot. Just order another pair of low cut ventilator boots. Fully expect the same great fit and comfort. August 12, 2010
Excelent buy for the price. I am a 50+ urban dweller from LA. I purchased these boots 6 weeks ago with the intent to use them exclusively for hiking/backpacking on my trips to Switzerland in preparation for a hiking trip, I began wearing the boots three to four days a week anywhere from 10 to 12 hours a day just to make sure there were no break-in or fit issues. To date, I have found these boots to be extraordinally comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box even after having worn them all day. These shoes are what I can only describe as an easy and comfortable heel to toe motion when walking. After having spent the day hiking in these shoes, I noticed there was much less stress on my knees and ankles I find these my boot of choice when taking extended walks or hikes. The quality, construction and workmanship of the boot is outstanding. I have no doubt these boots will perform to my expectations when I hit the Jung Frau circuit trail this fall. August 10, 2010
Awesome!! I took these boots fresh out of the mail on a 22 mile hike through the Yellowstone backcountry. Never leaked an ounce (was wading through streams and had my boots in the lake part of the time). Very comfortable. I was the only adult in the group who didn't have blisters when it was done. July 28, 2010
great fit I am a fan of merrell products. I was looking for something with a little ankle support. love these boots. the fit is great and the support is better than I expected. July 22, 2010
Merrell Light weight and feels good on your feet. Merrell has the best shoes.I been wearing them for yrs.. Havent had a bad boot yet July 19, 2010
Loves em! My husband loves them. This is his second pair. He wears them to work everyday! July 16, 2010
great boots fit about a half size too small, speed laces would be nice July 13, 2010
Great boots I use these boots to hike and camp. So far, they are great. They are very comfortable, and the Gore-Tex keeps my feet dry. I would recommend these July 12, 2010
okay great boot except for the air cushion insert keeps sliding out of place. July 8, 2010
So far better than good I recently purchased these boots for use while I work. I own my own lawn maintenance business in Central Florida where the rains are heavy, the sand is plentiful and where it gets miserably hot. I am on my feet a good 4-6 hours a day, and I do contend with high heat and humidity. They are true to fit, they are surprisingly breathable and thus far waterproof. I do work in extreme conditions and have yet to get caught in any heavy downpours with them on but as far as minor showers, puddles and wet grass these boots are doing a great job. July 4, 2010
Comfortable and light This is the first pair of Merrell shoes I have purchased. From a heavy hiking boot to these lighter shoes. So far they have been what I thought they would be. I haven't had much experience with waterproof capability yet. And you need a double knot so the thicker laces don't keep coming untied. June 8, 2010
Good boot. Not always waterproof. Despite being made of GTX, this boot is not *always* waterproof - or water resistant. I had to send the first pair back to Merrel, and they promptly exchanged it against a new pair, that is waterproof! June 3, 2010
Not waterproof... I bought these boots back in October, they might've been waterproof for a month but now they are horrible, I can't even walk through a dew soaked lawn without getting wet feet. The boots are comfortable but if you're looking for something that is going to keep your feet dry in wet conditions I wouldn't reccommend them. I had a pair of Timberland 'GORE TEX' which were the same price maybe less and lastest me 3 years of working in the daily before they began to let in water...I don't work in extremely wet conditions but I walk on lawns, and in the rain. May 27, 2010
Luv my new boots! I took my new Merrells out of the box and went on a 5 mile hike with my pack. My family is planning to do a lot of hiking an backpacking this summer so I was thrilled to discover how comfortable and supporting these boots are. Excellent support and traction and the wide width really fits my foot well. I'm very pleased so far and look forward to many happy miles ahead. Altrec had the best price I could find and I'm very pleased with their service. May 19, 2010
Great Boot light, comfy and looks great. Merrell's are always great. May 19, 2010
3rd Pair - Gotta luv them!!! This is my 3rd pair in 3 years. Use and abuse them both in the office and on the trail and they keep on truckin'! As long as Merrell keeps making this boot, I will keep on buying them. May 12, 2010
Merrell Moab-Value, Comfort, Features Moab is a great boot for hikes without backpack weight. Waterproof, comfort of a tennis shoe and good tread, purchase. It is NOT a backpacking boot and does not have a heavy duty toe guard, leather sidings which protect against rock jams etc.. This is what allows it be such a comfortable lightweight boot. For its intended purpose as a hiking boot vs. a backpacking boot it is ideal. Ordering a pair for my wife today! May 7, 2010
Traction and comfort I play a lot of disc golf and was looking for a good shoe with dependable traction on a variety of surfaces in wet or dry conditions. I was also very concerned about break in time with an upcoming tournament. I could not be more pleased with the Moab. They were more comfortable in the first round out of the box than my 'broken ins.' And with plenty of wet weather at the tourney, they provided the traction (and dry feet) I had been looking for in wet conditions. The comfort in the walks between shots along with the grip in the twisting and turning of the throw make this a great disc golf boot. I honestly feel they've cut a couple of strokes off my game--my feet aren't tired and aching in the closing holes anymore. I'll be getting a second pair. May 2, 2010
5 Stars I already own a pair of these MOAB Gor-tex shoe style that I bought about a year ago, they are such a well made and comfortable shoe that I decided to get a pair of these, I needed a good boot with a little more ankle support. These boots are lightweight, comfortable, mostly waterproof. Great for hiking or work. Probably the best boot in the under $100 dollar range out there. April 10, 2010
Nice looking and the fit is very good My husband has wide feet. These boots fit him very well. April 9, 2010
GREAT BOOT Ordered these boots for my husband who works outdoors and he loves them. The fit is true to size and are very comfortable. The support is also a key factor for these boots. Will be ordering more of this product. April 4, 2010
Excellent hiking boots They fit great and are great for work or hiking. Good support and you can go all day with a pack and not even have a problem with footing. Comfortable out of the box, no break in needed. You will thank your self if you pick them. Cheers March 26, 2010
Excellent boot very comfortable, very good support, thick sole (vibram), a little warm with synthetic socks. I have narrow feet and I could tighten it up for a snug fit. High quality. Ordering a second pair. Lowest matching price. March 9, 2010
sheer awesomeness For the price you can't beat these boots! the gortex works great in the vineyard with tall grass and morning dew as well as in mud and rain. Get a pair, you won't regret it. February 23, 2010
Work great in even in snow... I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He has a tendency to get his feet wet when hiking near water. He recently wore the boots snowshoeing and said they were very comfortable and kept his feet totally dry. He normally wears an 8 to an 8 1/2. The 8 1/2 fit him well with hiking socks. January 27, 2010
Great boots Over all, I'm very happy with them, comfort wise. I can't comment on the waterproof or breathable factors as they have not been subjected to those yet. They are a good looking boot without the screaming meme, "pants on the ground", colors that so much sports gear is plagued with. January 26, 2010
Very comfortable Merrell made a very comfortable and lightweight hiking boot. They required almost no breaking in and were great the first time I used them. The gortex design does a great job of retaining water. I would highly recommend them. January 19, 2010
Highly recommended! I bought Merrel size 11, the best hiking boots I have so far. I went on a hike, here in California, recently and I found them very light, and comfortable. They are waterproof and give good traction. I'm heading to the Basque country this holiday and I'm pretty sure they are going to do a pretty good job. December 11, 2009
I love Merrell All Merrell size 11's fit me perfectly. I used these on a recent 13 mile hike and they felt broken in from the start. I also own the non-Gore-tex version of these boots. If you know how these fit from trying them on in a store, they are a best buy here. They have a lot of heel cushion and the sole is made of a harder rubber than other shoes I have worn. Seem like they will last a long time. November 23, 2009
comfortable boots I went on a 3 hour hike today and this boots are great. Good traction up rocky hills. Had a backpack on and a 20lb. new born in front bjorn and they were very comfortable boots with a heavy load. November 4, 2009
Amazing boots! Great boots! November 3, 2009
Golf course maint. worker I've had this pair for a year and they have been very comfortable and have kept my feet dry. I wear them basically everyday for several hours and have no complaints. It's just time now for me to get a new pair because everyday wear for a year will do a shoe in. I highly recommend this boot! September 17, 2009
More of a sneaker When I tried this Moab Ventilator Hiking Shoe on I immediately new these would be no good for the type of Mountain Hiking I do. The Moab is more of a sneaker than what I would call a Hiking Shoe. If you are hiking on easy grade sloped trails with soft terrain these are the shoes for you. If you like to summit peaks I would not want to wear these shoes. Very little ankle support or protection from rocks. I could not even imagine wearing a backpack with these shoes July 3, 2009
Great boot so far. Purchased the Merrell Moab Mid Gore-Tex, after a lot of research and testing various boots on different surfaces and treadmill, etc. I have one pair of Merrells before, the Chameleon (non-Gore-Tex). These were just general wear boots, around town, nature walks, etc. No serious hiking. Needed a pair of light weight, mid, Gore-Tex hiking boots for a planned summer hike on Englands Coast to Coast walk (192 miles, various surfaces, but like England in general, very wet, muddy, boggy, etc). I need good ventilation as my feet sweat heavily. The price of the shoes was no object, as I made sacrifices in other others of gear, and wanted to be blister, and pain free as much as possible. After must research, including multiple sites reviews, I had narrowed my choices down to the Salomon Fast Packer 3D, the Vasque Breeze, and the Asolo Flame GTX.. All were waterproof, rather light weight, and breathable. I really wanted the Salomon Fast Packer, looked great, great reviews, my hiking buddy (serious hiker) wears and swears by them, etc. I tried them on and my heel slipped too much. I have a slightly wider foot and narrower heal, and even with different lacing, there was too much movement. The Vasque Breeze felt great in the store. Wore them with Smartwool hiking socks, and gave them a one hour treadmill test and my feet were on fire. Multiple hot spots, and could not wait to get them off. The Asolo Flame GTX were incredible hard and tight around my forefoot. I ended up trying on a pair of Keen Targhee II waterproof, and they felt great. After research and talk with some serious hikers, did not think that they were built (own make sole vs. Vibram for Merrell) to handle the mileage with an approximately 30/35 pound pack. I settled on the Merrell Moab Mid Gore-Tex, the least expensive of the bunch. They fit true to size, fairy comfortable right out of the box, with good breath ability and excellent waterproofing. I have taken two test hikes with full pack and the boots. The first was 12 miles in wooded terrain on a 90 degree day. Considering the Gore-Tex, breathed very well with no foot slippage, and no hot spots. This weekend hiked Skyline Drive on a 7 mile trip up 3000 feet of elevation, through streams, etc. Feet completely immersed in river streams with complete waterproofing. No hot spots, etc. For me to date these boots are well constructed, very little to no break-in required, supportive, and stable, with complete water proof capacity. From reading other reviews on other sites, some complain that Merrells tend to wear out faster than other brands. I dont have any info on that but after the C2C walk, I will [upd-ate ]if needed. I hope this helps, as I have gotten a lot of mileage of others reviews, and felt that it was time to do my share. June 1, 2009
Great shoes! Very, very comfortable shoes. Somewhere I read that they fit a 1/2 size larger than what you might normally be used to - I would agree with that. I'm a big fan of Merrell products in general any these did nothing to change my impression. Quick service from Altrec! May 26, 2009
Female wearing mens boots I have been hiking steadily for several years now. I have tried many boots for hiking. I usually wear womens shoes sizes 7 1/2 to 8. I have found that womens boots are too narrow for my wide, flat feet. It was suggested to me in a Merrell store to try mens size 7. I did and love them. I had a pair of ladies Merrell Moab and gave them to my mom for her hiking. I replaced them with the Mens Merrell Moab and am very happy and comfortable. January 3, 2009
