These shoes are very solidly built (allow some time for break-in). They have great traction and feel very stable. Other than the stiffness, no complaints.

Very Impressed

These shoes are comfortable, durable, and warm during cold weather. The do show some water stains from heavy use during wet weather, but have kept me dry.

Great Shoes

I agree with other reviews here in that I've never regretted buying a pair of Merrell's . Nothing like a shoe that forms to your foot after a few days wear .

Nice shoes
January 18, 2011

I used them walking in desert in Israel, climbing Mt. Sinai in Egypt, and walking about in Texas. I like them a lot.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, lightweight

Just what I had hoped for
August 27, 2010

I bought this shoe to replace a pair of Merrell Blades that I completely wore the tread off of but just couldn't stand to throw away. They are exactly what I hoped they would be: light but strong, extremely comfortable, and the tread seems to be even better than my beloved Blades. So far nothing but short hikes and wearing around town, but they are off to a great start. As was noted earlier, they run a bit small so I ordered a half size larger: perfect fit!

Comfortable & Durable Shoes
December 25, 2009

These are some of the most comfortable shoes you could buy. They go great with jeans. My last pair of Merrell's lasted 3+ years. The sizes run a bit small so order an extra 1/2 size larger ... you will not be disappointed!

Great Boot
January 16, 2010

This is my third pair. They are the most comfortable boots I have owned. They do run small though. I purchased a pair last fall and didn't realize that they were too small for downhill hiking as my toes hit the end. They are ok for casual use, but I had to purchase a larger pair for harder hiking.

Nice choice

Very comfortable and lightweight. Be sure to breakin before hitting the trail. Slopes caused a blister on my ankle.

Couldn't believe the comfort
September 07, 2008

I was some what skeptical when I read the reviews, but these are the most comfotable shoes I've ever worn. The construction is top notch and they feel great! I will, without a doubt, by Merrell again.

Very comfortable but be sure to break in before a serious hike. Great breathability. My feet tend to sweat alot but seemed to be less severe with these shoes.

Pros: Great design, Great value

excellent biking shoe
November 10, 2009

Merrel Men's Outland Hiking shoes is excellent and durable. it is my second shoe. I love this brand. worth for the price. inside feels like soft and outsole is hard and rough, which makes comfort and durability. Highly recommend. Appreciate for Altrec's fast shipment.
