Sizing ChartMerrell Men's Overdrive GORE-TEX® XCR Trail Running Shoe
Trail running technology that brings some serious swift, keeping adventure racers centered and efficient to maintain speed over changeable terrain. Proprietary TrailSpring design positions visible tubes bisected by support beams in a full-length TPU plate to inhibit overpronation and cushion heel-strike. Trail Balanced last with integrated arch bridge stabilizes the heel while freeing the forefoot for easy toe off. Both quick-cinch airmesh upper and Merrell Air Cushion sole drain readily and are gaiter-compatible. Vibram Full Speed II sole features heel-centering cutaway design and flex grooves for propulsion at the forefoot.

Definitely get a 1/2 size up!
William Miller - 2008-01-22Comfortable shoe with fantastic traction on wet and dry surfaces
Shoes needed a little break in time. I noticed the cushioning more after the break in period (one full day=adequate break in period). I wear orthotics and couldn't use them @ first, but now! I recommend them for mixed surfaces with emphasis on trails. The traction in wet muddy environs is superb,with the sole having a sticky grip. Did I mention they kept my feet dry too! The shoes wear on you and you wear on them. Buy em!

I'm NOT using these for daily trail running. I just wanted a comfortable but rugged shoe for travel, so they meet my needs perfectly with the GTX and plenty of cushion in the soles.
In other Merrells I am a true 14 (Tundras, Jungle Mocs and their boots) but I wear a 15 running shoe. The Overdrives in a 14 were WAY too small and the 15's are really snug, so be advised to adhere to a running shoe fit guide and possibly consider ordering a 1/2 size up. They come with an extra pair of regular laces in case you're not a fan of the lace lock system
