Amazing shoes
January 10, 2012

These are incredibly comfortable shoes. Very durable soles. You do feel like you are barefoot, but these shoes do offer support . Have only had them for a few weeks , but so far can't find anything wrong with them.

Pros: comfortable, lightweight
Cons: non so far

As advertised
October 23, 2011

The shoes are comfortable and very light. I do warn people that they will rub the back of your heal until they are broken-in. I definitely perfer them to the "five-fingered" shoes.

Great Shoes
July 01, 2011

Fantasic shoes. Run true to size or a little small so if you are borderline I would recommend you move up to next larger. (I purchased too small and ended up exchanging which was very easy. Great customer service.) They conform to your feet and they are super light and comfortable - about as close to going barefoot as you can get while having some protection and support. One issue is because they conform so wear you just can't slip them off as easy as you would do with regular sneakers. I usually have to undo the laces and pull them off. Not an issue due to how comfortable there are though. INstead of taking them off when you get home you might end up leaving them on since they are like a secone skin :)

Mimimal shoe and minimal break-in time
May 26, 2011

I wore these shoes for the first time on the trail on about a 5 mile hike and jog, not having worn them at all beforehand. They felt great on first use. After three runs on the trail I can say I'm fully happy with this shoe. I can compare them with the trail glove by noting, on the one hand, that they are less flexible but perhaps offer stronger support for the foot above the sole. On the other hand, the true glove keeps more stuff out than the trail glove. I recommend for footwear.

Pros: short breakin time

So comfortable
May 17, 2011

Good arch support, very comfortable to wear. I have enjoyed wearing the Barefoot Running Shoe. It is very light, feels lke you are not wearing shoes. Only time will tell on the duarability but seems to be built for the long haul. Love the color combination

Pros: light and comfortable

Great investment
April 18, 2011

The shoes are a great investment. They are just like barefoot shoes. They have helped alleviate any aches and pains I have had. I was sore for the first few days wearing these, so break them easy. The back of the shoe does rub a little at first. Otherwise the most comfortable pair of shoes I own.

Tougher than tough glove
April 14, 2011

I have both the Tough glove and the True glove. The True glove feels much more rugged than the Tough glove. I think this shoe will last much longer on trails. Same great barefoot feel as the Tough glove, though. I ended up sizing both a half size bigger than my street shoe and they fit perfect. Shoes even feels good without socks.

Pros: breathable, rugged, light, flexible

Great shoes
April 10, 2011

I have been barefoot running and running with VFFs for about a year now, and was excited to hear about Merrell's entry in the market. I took delivery of the True Gloves about a week ago. After putting the shoes on, I noticed the shoes give extra support on the "balls" of my feet compared to my VFFs. I do about 15 "barefoot" miles a week; last week I ran 7.5 in the True Gloves and have been impressed so far. If I had one suggestion to make the shoes better it would be the shoe laces could be a little longer.

Getting there
March 22, 2011

Great shoes. A little stiff out of the box, and tight in the heels. Definitely a "break in" shoe before you push it. True to size - I think Merrell got close to the barefoot ideal without the fear factor that 5 Fingers have (toes waiting to get clipped by curbs, stones, and roots).
