Merrell Waterpro Maipo
August 15, 2008

These shoes are amazing!!! Great for hiking and for around water use, they dry off very quickly. These are the best all around shoes I've ever had. I would recommend them to anyone!

The Merrell Waterpro shoes have been great.

Have been wearing Teva sandals for years. Was looking for an H2o full shoe alternative that didn't feel like i was wearing hiking boots without socks. The Merrell Waterpro shoes have been great. They are very light weight, but still took a few days of full wear to conform to my foot without friction spots. Nonetheless, they feel great now and perform well both in the stream and on the trail.

we love these shoes!

My husband and I both have these shoes for boating where our feet stay wet all day. They are lightweight, drain easily and have a very firm gripping sole. Because they are so lightweight they don't have that soggy feeling you get from wet sneakers. They can also transition easily to light hiking.

Great shoe for riding

Bought this for atv riding in lots of creeks. Very comfortable and dry fast. Good all around light shoe.

excellent all around outdoor shoe

this shoe was worth every penny. I needed a durable, sturdy, hard working water shoe that could keep up with me and allow me to take on all elements on and off shore. You will not be disappointed

Great, durable comfortable water shoe

Boy do I love these shoes! So much that I just bought another pair to keep for later use. My family just went to several locations in the Caribbean and Central America. I wore these shoes snorkeling in Honduras and Cozumel. Wore them to Sting Ray City in the Cayman Islands, and wore them on a three mile jungle hike through the rain forest in Belize and then cave tubing. The Waterpro have held up perfectly. I wore them at times with socks and at times without. They are extremely comfortable and light. No break-in required and no blisters or any sore spots at all. They can be a walking shoe, hiking shoe, running shoe, and water shoe. They’re so light an comfy, I wear them pretty much every day now. Excellent purchase.

very comfortable

Great shoe. Very comfortable for every day use even if you don't go in the water. I bought mine for kayaking but I wear them all the time.

Finally found the perfect summer shoe

Great for in and out of the water. Comfortable with or without socks. I bought these for ATV riding in creeks for the quick dry. They have become my everything shoe for the summer.

Very light weight, great for summer time, stylish, can be worn with or without socks, thin soles so you feel everything (rocks), good for short hikes. Anti-microbial finish doesn't work, they will smell if not dried right after use. Dries overnight.

Pretty good water shoes

I'm pretty impressed with these - would have given them 5 stars except the sizing is larger than other Merrells I have. I should have ordered them 1/2 size smaller. As to their water performance, the uppers dry very quickly; the lower half takes a while longer. But the shoes are comfortable and handle the water well.

Merrell is the only brand I get but for some reason these

I had to return the item as the 9.5 size was not atuall 9.5 it was more like 10.5 The only reason for 3 stars is that i have to pay for a return shipping they do not offer exchange if you are not satisfied with the product.

Great all-around shoe

This is a nice lightweight shoe, even when wet, and is great both in the creek and on the trail. When it comes to comfort in a water shoe, Merrell delivers.

Great All-Purpose Shoe

So far I have used in water, around town, and doing speed work on the track. It is light, has great support and has met my needs for a single shoe to complete lots of tasks. Would highly recommend.

I love it.

This is the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Light and comfortable. I don't ever have to take them off. So comfortable and I don't bother with socks.

Maipo--A Winner

My husband wears these to work everyday and loves them. He likes that they are good on wet surfaces and are light on his feet.

What a nice looking shoe! These shoes are great. They are not heavy when wet, they dry quickly and are nice enough to go to a casual restaurant after a day of land and water activities. I highly recommend them.

Good drainage but not for full spectrum Canyoneering
November 05, 2008

If your main recreation is light hiking and/or a shoe that will drain water(boat shoe) then this product is for you. If you do serious canyoneering, look to something from 5/10. I need a size 15 so 5/10 is out for me. The Merrell shoe is too flimsy to comfortably handle long/steep downclimbing (dirt-ski)and upclimbing of dirt/rock or navigating the mess left by an avalanch (rocks and trees piled 10 feet high). I wished for that 5/10 sticky rubber going up the 7 Tea Cups on the Kern. I'm goingto grind the bottoms and glue on 5/10 dot rubber as an improvement. I' still looking for a better shoe for the active big foot.
