I recently purchased these super adorable sandals for an upcoming trip to Germany and Holland. I knew that I wanted something cute that I could wear with a sundress, but also comfortable and durable enough to walk long distances. I bought these sandals because 1) they're adorable and do not look like comfort shoes and 2) Merrell is a trusted brand and I had faith that it would be a comfortable shoe. I have not yet walked about Europe in these. However, I live about 20 minutes from campus and walk every day to school. The bed of the shoe is SO SUPER SOFT! I walked happily to school with them on the first day wearing them. They require NO breaking in and offered a lot of support as I trotted about. The only MINOR complaint that I might have is that after a while on a hot day, my feet got a bit sweaty and the shoes bothered me just a smidge, but I think that would've happened with any sandal that I couldn't readily slip off while seated. Overall, I highly recommend these sandals for anyone looking for an adorable sandal that is super comfortable! Well worth the price and I expect it to last me a very long time!

I have purchased other Merrill shoes/sandals before and this pair is just as comfortable as my prior purchases. They offer the type of support I need.

I purchased these sandals last summer in tan and loved them. Love the style, love the walk-all-day comfort. This summer I wanted black sandals and tried a few other styles but nothing matched the Bassoon. So, for the first time ever, I have two pairs of shoes the same except for color. The stitching on the straps of sandals is often rough and rubs blisters on my feet, but the straps of these sandals are lined with very soft material which doesn't rub at all. The footliner is smooth leather and doesn't easily get yucky like suede can with bare feet. The sandals do seem to run slightly long, so if you're in between sizes I would go down rather than up in size unless you have a wide foot, in which case I'd say they're not very forgiving of a wide foot. I am very happy with both the shoes and the delivery service.

I loved the shoe. It fit perfect and did not need any breaking in. I have recommended it a number of times.
