Its In-Board™molded EVA footbed with grade 3 mm tapered nylon insole, molded heel counter and instep arm give you the stability and comfort you need for serious day hiking. I took these straight out of the box and wore them for 8 hrs straight at work. Super comfortable with no break-in needed. I have back problems and find that Merrell's really make the difference for me in a good way! Usually I wear shoe size 8.5 but find with the Merrell boots (these included) a size 9 fit better. They tend to run a bit snug.

My son got me these boots in February, as he owns a similar mens model and living in Minnesota the grass tends to always be dewy or snowy or something. I wore these backpacking for 2 days in wet tall grass and feet stayed dry with the Gore-Tex I also love how I didn't get any blisters as these also break in very quickly. If you hike or backpack these are perfect as I don't really like the more rigid type and these have more of an athletic shoe type feel. Great boot!

lightweight,easy break-in,good support
Lining removed and orthotics fit perfectly.
Laces loosened easily at first until I applied my double loop,double tie technique!

I wore these boots for 5 straight days when they first came out of the box and my feet felt great. There is plenty of arch support. I prefer them over most of my other shoes. I did have to return my regular size and get a half size up so that my toe would fit. My Merrell walking shoes were true to size, but these were a little short.

I have been pleased with the boots, for comfort and usefulness, but also for my old knees. I have not had the usual pain and soreness in my knees on the days I wore my new boots, that's a winner!

I love these boots! The only shoes I wore all summer long. I never even had to break them in. I hiked in them every single day, and they still have at least another summer left in them. They are very durable and extremely comfortable. They dry quick and are not too heavy. My only complaint was that they were hot, but I was in a hot place, so I guess that's what you would expect.

These boots are very light-weight and really comfortable. They fit my slim feet just right, so if you have wider feet you might try a different boot. Stick with Merrell though, as they are long-lasting, comfotable shoes! I don't just wear these hiking, I also wear them when I know I'll be on my feet for a while.

I cant say enough. my shoes are the most comfortable shoes i own. They are well made and last. I have 3 other pair and they are well work the money. The chameloeon arc makes your foot feel well support. It feels your putting on foot gloves. I LOVE THEM

These boots are generally quite comfortable. The only thing that is a bit of a problem is the tongue. It tends to feel as though it is rubbing up against my ankle when the boot is tied tightly.

I'm delighted to report that my new boots did not cause blisters on the first and the second wearing. My only criticism is that the padding around the ankle is too thick, making it difficult to properly tighten the laces.
