Best Down jacket for my job
April 03, 2012
This is my first down jacket by Merrell and I thinks it fits perfectly for my job on location. It is light to carry and it allows all kinds of movement while we are filming around freezing areas of Tahoe. I would reccomend it 100%.. Now I want to look for merrell snow boots.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGood Transitional Jacket

This is my second Merrill Darbie Down Jacket. I love the comfort that much, and now own one in Sangria, and Black. It is soft, comfortable, not at all bulky. The soft collar is what I like the best as it folds down easily or sits straight up if you want to keep chill from your neck. I would not wear the jacket in extreme cold. At 800 fill power goosedown, seems extremely thin. Yes, as prior reviewers have mentioned, a feather now and then works it way out, but no big deal. I snip it off where it protrudes. That's the nature of all goosedown jackets. All in all, this jacket is perfect for the transition between really cold and chilly early spring. I wear a size 10-12, and got the large so I can wear a bulky sweater underneath, but if you're on the small side of 10, a medium might work best.
Love, Love this coat!

This coat is great, light weight but warm! It is very stylish and neither tight nor "boxy". The pockets are lined so provide warmth for the hands. I am 5'3", 112 and the small fits perfectly and goes well over a sweater.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value
