Very Pleased with this purchase

I really like the looks of these shoes. I didn't want anything bulky, and I find these shoes far from bulky. The waterproof detail does stand up. Shoes were a little stiff the first few times I wore them, and they did give me blisters, but all is good now! :) I would recommend these shoes.

Pros: very comfortable, Cons: tad pricey

Comfortable and Grippy

I am a fan of Moab Venilators and was excited to test these waterproof versions out. They are comfortable, durable, keep your feet dry, true to size, have nice room in the toe box while keeping the heel in place, and the soles grip on rock and snow. These shoes work with Katoola Microspikes on ice and snow and keep your feet cool and happy hiking in the desert. They are also very popular in the thru-hiking community.

I used these shoes for a trek in Peru. I ordered a half-size up and they were really comfortable during the day hikes I did prior to my trek. However, after several hours of trekking in Peru they were really uncomfortable and then on the second day I started getting terrible blisters on my toes. I have small (size 5.5) but wide feet. I wouldn't recommend these shoes for women who need a wider shoe, especially in the toe box area.

Great shoe, but it runs small

I have had a pair of size 9 Moab Ventilators for a few years, and love them, although my feet seem to be growing and they are now a little tight. I needed a pair of hiking shoes for Alaska, so I thought I would try the Waterproof version of Moabs, and bumped up the size to 9.5. The size 9.5 Waterproof version look great and have the same overall comfort of the Ventilators (although warmer), but I am surprised that they have the same tightness and are, in fact, the same length as my old size 9 Ventilators! I'm sure that when I swap these for a size 10 all will be right with the world.
