We took Tibet as inspiration for a boot that stands up to cold and sloppy conditions with distinctive style. Leather-and-toggle closures cinch a water-resistant leather upper with spun wool collar and trim along with full Polartec® lining. 200 grams of Thinsulate® provide added warmth. Vulcanized construction yields a waterproof seal and protective high sidewall. Playfully graphic Snowflake&153; sole has substantial slick-surface traction.

Fit Tip: These boots fit true to size. I typically wear an 8 and the size 8 was perfect with a normal to thick sock. The toggles are slightly difficult to open at first but just require some break-in time.

I have these boots for our annual trek to Breckenridge. I only wear them for a couple of weeks per year, but I always look forward to putting them on. They are soft, cozy, and warm. My 9 year loves them so much I bought her a pair as well.. So they pass the test of not being too young or too old looking. In fact, the kids version has a few more colors available which are extremely cute.

I have had these for 2 winters (that's about 8 months of combined daily wear in Iowa), and I have been happy each time I put them on. They are incredibly warm and waterproof, and they look as new as the day I bought them. They fit true to size, with room for thick socks or arch inserts, if you want a bit more support. They are cuter than most grandma snowboots, but they do make my size 10 feet look kind of large and cloddy. Oh well, I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of fashion for such great functionality.

Wasn't sure that they would be warm enough. They were so light weight! Don't let that fool you! They are extremely warm and non-bulky! Wish they had a little bit of arch support but will take having warm feet over that any day.

I live in Chicago - the windy city and also a recent dumping ground for a foot of snow, temperatures well below zero and high, icy winds coming off of Lake Michigan.
I purchased these boots mainly for taking my 80lb. Lab to the park during the intolerable Winter months here.
These boots have proven to be completely and utterly awesome! Here's why:
- They are super cute (get tons of compliments on them when I wear them out for a casual evening in the city)
- They are SUPER warm! (haven't had a cold toe yet, even when playing in the foot-deep snow or standing in the snow for 1+ hours)
- You can tuck your pants into them (and wear cute leggings with them as well and they look great!)
- They are waterproof
- They dry fast and well (after they are covered in a foot of snow I wonder how they will survive, but the next day they always look like I never even put them on!)

Have worn these boots almost every day for the last month (it's been the worst December EVER in Chicago!)and I am soooo impressed. They are very comfortable. I wear plain ol' regular socks and have walked through snow, sleet, and slush and my feet have been warm and dry. After a grueling month, the boots still look new. I feel that they are true to size and they are not cumbersome at all. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them and the snowflake pattern left on the snow is a plus!

Honesty, this is probably one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever bought. They are very versatile I have done everything from snowshoeing, to sledding, to going shopping or to class in these boots. They are very warm but you can also wear them indoors without getting overheated (thinsulate is wonderful). They are also very cute and unique. They are durable and of outstanding quality.
My only complaint would be the arch support and the traction. Also spraying them with a waterproof spray would be a good idea.

Love these boots! I am a size 8 1/2-9 and orderes the size 9. They are a great fit, a little room to move but that is nice in the winter time. Very warm..but not too warm.

The first time I ever owned these boots was three years ago. They were given to me as a gift, and since then I've been repurchasing these awesome boots! The snowflake design on the bottom of the boot is cute (makes cute snowflake tracks in the snow), and they keep your feet warm in freezing temps! They are also very comfortable and have a good amount of support on the bottom. These boots have not ever let me down! I've worn them in Oregon, Minnesota, Colorado, Canada, and Japan -- all in winter weather. In my opinion, I think they might run on the bigger size (I'm a size 8-8 1/2 normally, but the size 8 fits perfect). I definitely recommend the Merrell High Tibet boots!

I just spent the weekend at a lake retreat with a lot of walking up and down hills going back and forth from the sleeping lodge to the main lodge for meals and these boots kept my feet snug and cozy and were extremely comfortable.

I live in Chicago and I was a bit skeptical on how they would feel in the cold and snow. I got them just in time for a pretty good snow fall and temps in the around zero. They passed with flying colors! So comfortable even with a mid weight sock. I wore them shopping almost all day. Love em!

These boots are simply amazing.. they are comfortable, cute and extremely warm! I have a syndrome that causes my feet to go numb in even 60 degree weather, and since buying these boots my feet have not gone numb once while walking outside! And I live in freezing Wisconsin! They have great traction in the snow and are really lightweight. I get tons of compliments on them!

Bought these for our cold, wet New England winters. Thoroughly pleased. They are amazingly warm and very comfy. Look good too. The toggles are a little difficult to buckle up but not worth removing a star in the rating. I say, buy 'em.

I am pregnant and was looking for a boot to wear in Alaska that's a little easier to get on and off with lots of traction on the ice. These fit the bill, but have the bonus of being really cute! Way better than the trendy Uggs, these boots are completely functional.

These are cute, light, warm and really comfy. I use them for walking around in the cold weather, so I wouldn't know how they hold up in extreme conditions. I got the Seal Grey and they are a little brownish, but the colouring also does great with rain for short periods. Also, I went down half a size and that worked out pretty well.

These are great. Super cute, super warm, and much tougher than they look. I went for an unexpected two hour hike through wet snow and mud and I really expected the boots to be ruined, but they kept my feet warm and, once they dried, looked as good as ever. I wear them almost every day! My only complaint is that the sole is really flat, no arch support. Otherwise really cool boots.

Light weight warmth is what I wanted and exactly what these provide. Most warm snow boots are terribly heavy and a chore to lace up. Slip these on and go.

I love these boots...coworkers have told me that Merrells are the most comfortable brand you'll ever own & I'm convinced they're right. The boots are warm & comfy, and best of all, great looking! They've stood up well in this awful Chicago winter. Like previous reviews have said, the toggles are difficult to use the first few wears, but they were broken in by day 3 for me.

This boot is so comfortable and great looking. It would be a five-star, but I'm not sure how it is going to do in the wet snow - great in the dry stuff.

So far so good! I've only had them a few days...but I love the way they feel and they are easy pull on and off(for lazy people like me!) I've even worn them with a skirt..cute! Plus...they are completely water proof...

I just got my boots today- ordered them in espresso size 7. I'm sooo disappointed. The color is gorgeous and the leather is quite soft yet seems durable. However, they're really...ugly! They're big, clunky, boat-like shoes and look very awkward. They make my feet look huge and I wear a size 6.5-7, so I usually don't think twice about how big my feet look! Also, the sole is very thin- I can feel the ground through them. Lining is soft but not cushioned. Dunno how they hold up outside, as I'm probably going to return these. (I wish altrec's return policy was as easy as zappos!) I'm totally disappointed- the looked so cute in the pictures!
