Top-quality hoodie softshell
April 24, 2013
Had been looking for a high-quality sofshell (the hood was a must) for a long while. It should be from a well-known brand and with windstopper protection. Had not found anything suitable nor at home -in Spain- neither around Europe. Then, all of sudden, Altrec.com came across. From their wide portfolio, immediately found what I needed. Amongst other remarkable features, this Millet softshell is extremely light, has got a very soft touch and the fit is just perfect. Moreover, the brand has got very good reputation and reviews from other buyers were very positive. Hopefully this Saturday shall try it under the rain to check its protection. Extremely satisifed with this shopping. Excellent value for money. Easy to notice the difference between this softshell and a medium (or low) quality one.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Cost

Millet Trilogy WDS Hoodie=The best

Millet was the first company to introduce this particular windstopper fabric in the US, and it's awesome. It's called Windstopper Xfast stretch 3L, and it's crazy-stretchy, light, and surprisingly burly. I climb in this jacket, and the comparable pants (same fabric), even knee bar in the pants, and there is no pilling or scratches in the fabric after many days on the rock. But the best feature is the breathability. Even if you are sweating like crazy, this fabric will not get clammy. Stretch, burl-factor, breathability makes this an awesome jacket, not to mention how sharp it looks!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance

As someone who works outdoors in the mountains for a living, this is a great, lightweight jacket to have with me at all times. It's the perfect weight for layering and I use it as a shell with insulating layers underneath for cool-to-cold conditions (I'll put on a puffy or a beefier shell overtop for really cold conditions). It's light because it's thin which keeps it from inhibiting movement and it has really good stretch. Because of it's stretch and breathability (it's a softshell so not designed to be waterproof), it's a great jacket for high-energy-output activities like ice climbing and ski touring. In a high and dry alpine environment like Colorado, it's the perfect jacket for when I'm really moving fast. I'm really psyched on this piece!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, looks good
