These trail running shoes are perfect for high altitude running or hiking with their breathable open mesh uppers backed by a waterproof breathable Outdry membrane. The lacing and strap system hugs around your foot for a secure fit and the dual-density EVA midsole places higher density foam at the midfoot to resist the tendency to pronate, which gives you a more natural, efficient stride and reduces injuries. The full-length Trail Shield™ and the Toe Counter protect from rocks, sticks and other trail debris and the Gryptonite rubber outsole has aggressive, angled lugs to both grip the trail and cushion from impact.

I found these shoes to lack arch support and I developed a heel blister when I wore them. Because of these two issues, I do not wear them. I am just starting to do some trail running and was looking for a lighter shoe than my Keen Targhee II.
