Great multipurpose shoe!
I use this shoe at the gym for iron cardio classes, on hiking trails and even day long tourist excursions. It provides decent ankle and arch support, protection for tender feet and is very breathable and flexable. This is my second pair and I am hooked.

Great trail shoe
Tread provides good traction. This is my second pair - first pair (purchased over a year ago) is still very comfortable with decent tread after regular wear on the mountain. My first pair (grey and blue) have faded and are looking worn, but they still provide a lot of support. Buying second pair as a backup.

Great shoe
This is my second pair of Montrail Mountain Masochist Trail shoe. I wore the last pair into the ground and I look forward to doing the same with this pair.
Great arch support, very stable foot bed, and great traction make for an excellent shoe.

Happy customer
This is my first pair of Montrails and as far as I'm concerned I'll stick with this brand. Basically I have zero complaints....I wore these on a six mile trail run the day they arrived; no blisters or discomfort whatsoever. The shoes fit well and feel like they are hugging my midstep; they are supportive without being bulky, and can take on rugged trails with ease. As a matter of fact, these shoes feel so good on that I often wear them even when I'm not running! And kudos to Altrec for their awesome service.

Awesome Trail Running Shoe
I purchased these shoes just a few days ago, and I am now a big fan of the comfort and traction these shoes provide in my daily runs, including those where I must catch up to my 3 year old son. No break in time required with these shoes. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on my feet.

One of the best trail shoes
This is my first time purchasing the Montrail brand, so I was really excited when my shoes arrived. I love how light-weight they are and the glove-like fit. I have wide feet and not once did my bunions bother me during the run. I like the lacing with this shoe and the fact it gave me a snug fit around my ankles (which are a little narrow). However, the bottoms of my feet were a tad achy after two (long) runs. I bought some innersoles at the local running store and that did the trick. I plan on buying another pair soon.

NOT MASOCHISTIC AT ALL
This is a truely great shoe. It grips on rocks, runs trails, walks city streets. The perfect all around shoe for me. And did I say light light as a feather like walking on a cloud. Perfect in every way. Get two while they last on discount price.

Comfy!
I bought these shoes for my mom. From the moment she put them on she loved them! They are true to fit and the color is pretty. She has been wearing them everywhere and has had no pain in her feet.

Super comfy shoes
I bought the Mountain Masochist shoes for a trip to China involving a great deal of walking and step climbing. The shoes were super comfy from the moment they were placed on my feet. They are light weight and true to size (9). They are great on unstable surfaces and uneven terrain. I am recommending these shoes to others.

Love this shoe
This is my third pair - I wear it for walking, running and light hiking. Works well for all seasons (I wear with Yaxtrax for snowy/icy surfaces). Very comfortable, requires no "breaking in". Very stable. I'll buy a fourth pair when I wear this one out!

Will Go the Distance -- Comfy & Solid
I ran the Western States 100 in these shoes -- and loved them! I kept trying different shoes before the race, but started wearing the MM about 2 months before race day and they worked great! I love that they are super lightweight -- lighter than my road shoes -- and that they've got good support, breathability and good traction for running rocky downhills. I've bought 3 more pairs since and plan to keep running in the MM for a long time. And several of my other training partners wear these too -- and love them just as much! That's a winning shoe! (My only complaint is the shoelaces...they're about an inch too short to double-knot, but easily resolved with new shoelaces!)

Incredibly lightweight yet cushioned. So comfortable.
This shoe makes me feel so light and nimble on the trails. It is wide enough in the toebox and feels great wherever my foot lands. It has performed well on downhills, keeping my feet cushioned but still providing me with the responsiveness to handle roots and the occasional chipmunk. I am ordering another pair!

Love this!
This shoe was so comfortable when I tried it, I know it was the one. After running several times I still think it is the most comfortable sneaker I have ever worn. Light but still so supportive.

Great trail running shoe
This is one of the lightest trail shoes. I purchased the gor-tex version of this shoe for winter and liked it so much I ordered the regular version. I am an ultra runner and have worn other brands; however, this shoe is by far the most light-weight with great traction and support. If you run a lot of single track trails and want a responsive trail runner, you can't beat the mountain masochist!

I love this shoe!
No other shoe has ever fit so right as this one does. I have enough comfort and great support. I am not a marathoner, but this shoe feels great when I run on asphalt or trail and hikes. I will buy another pair and recommend it to others!

Best shoe ever
I love this shoe, it's extremely lightweight yet lots of support where needed. Comfort is amazing. I kept reading to order it a half size smaller than my usual size but I didn't and it fits well.
