Montrail trail running shoes
March 05, 2012
This shoe is so light and really adheres to trail, wet, muddy, or dry. I was afraid out of the box it would be stiff and not much flexibility but I was wrong. Lots of room in toe box area for those long down hill descents. Only thing is there is a seam rubbing on right foot. Haven't been able to locate it yet. With a mid weight sock I don't feel it. I did order a half size up and have plenty of room. This shoe is comfortable just to wear around town after a long hard run.
Excellent trail running shoe

Excellent low profile trail running shoe. Good cushioning. Great grip on wet rocks and in mud. Overall runs true to size. Tends to fit women with a narrow foot, but has plenty of toe box room.
Rockridge Trail Runner
April 11, 2011
I bought this brand/style after reading several reviews/recommendations. I have not been disappointed. My first outing wearing these shoes was a 7-mile hike on a trail that had some quite steep inclines, steps and decline. I had the shoes on for several hours with very little break-in time before the hike (maybe 2 hours of wear) and did not get sore feet! I have learned to buy slightly bigger than normal (1/2 size), wear Thorlo hiking socks AND Dr. Scholl's inserts ;) I have also worn these shoes for doing work outside. I like the tread as it definitly helps me to feel secure on the slopes and loose gravel we have at our home. Finally, I like the fact the shoes are grey colored so won't show dirt as readily.
Pros: ample width, good treadGreat trail shoe

Love this shoe: lightweight, yet good traction on the trails. Have run on bike paths to trails underwater and extremely muddy, and very pleased with the shoe. Great price, too! Highly recommend!
gait unaffected by Rockridge
November 12, 2010
I do not have any Fear of Missing Out, FOMO, wearing the Rockridge. The Rockridge does not work against my gait so I know I will run trail safely for years to come not missing out on a thing. For a small person, with a mid size arch and neutral strike, Montrail's Rockridge provides a natural approach to a shoe for injury free running which is my highest priority. Also, I love the lilac color. Wear a good sock with this shoe, there is a seam above the toes that rubs. The seam might wear down as the shoe breaks in, but the seam is part of the Rockridge's nice toe box.
Pros: Great designGreat shoe for heavier runner
August 03, 2010
This is a good shoe for me, a heavier runner who likes to run on trails. I don't run on really technical trails, but the trails can get rocky in places. I have high arches and wide feed and the fit is good.
Good trail runner for under-pronators

Great fit for folks with wide feet and high arches- under-pronators will like this shoe! Nice stability and very comfortable.
