Great for Kickball
November 26, 2011
I play in a kickball league that doesn't allow cleats. These shoes offer a great amount of traction that are helpful while playing. I recommend these for anyone that needs sneakers to be used on uneven surfaces.

Really comfortable! But noticed that shoelace can untie easily while you run. Also, there are for run just during sunny weather and not on the dusty trails as you will have all dust inside on your socks. Also not water proved. But solid and perfect for sunny days! Running everyday and so far my feet like them;)

I have had several montrail shoes. These are nice shoes. They are very durable and comfortable. They could use a little more cushion in the heel of the shoe. They have good traction.
Pros: Build quality, PerformanceNot the Hardrock
April 16, 2010
As a long time Montrail Hardrock fan I was immensely disappointed to learn that the discontinued the model. I tried this new model thinking it would be a good substitute as the Montrail website describes the shoe as "Performance running shoe built for stability and protection on the trail." I have a low arch and run on rocky trails in the Phoenix Mountain Preserves - so need a shoe that locks me in to prevent overpronation and to protect from the rocks. My first time out on the trail with the Sabino, I knew it was not going to work for me. My feet did not feel protected at all, and I could feel the rocks. After wearing the Hardrock for so long, this shoe felt soft and squishy, like a road shoe, and there was no lateral stability in the instep. Unfortunately I could not return this. The Montrail Enduro insoles have made a bit of a difference, enough so that I can use these shoes until I can afford to spend another $100 bucks on another pair. Unfortunately Montrail has lost a customer as it does not have any trail running shoes that will work for me at this time. I will probably buy Salomons. If you liked the stability and rigidity of the Hardrock, I would not recommend this shoe.
