Excellent for hiking, backpacking, traveling and playing with the kids in the park, the Mountain Hardwear Canyon Short offers a refreshing alternative to cluttered and bulky cargo pocket shorts. This fast-drying and lightweight garment features an unlined, low profile conical waist with an adjustable web belt that customizes the fit to match your trail and travel appetites. Velcro® and zipper closure on the back pockets help ensure that your important documents always stay where you need them.
- Fast-wicking 3.4-oz. Canyon Cloth face fabric consisting of 40-denier 100% nylon twill containing a 170x90 thread count and treated with a UPF 50 finish
- Unlined seamless, low profile conical waist
- Adjustable web belt
- Dual front pockets have fast-draining mesh inserts

I was a little skeptic at first on these type of shorts, but man do I love mountain hardwear and all of their products. These are my new favorite shorts for sure! They are lightweight, don't bunch up, cool on a extreme hot day...Amazing shorts i would recommend to anyone!

I own three pairs. They're seriously the most comfortable to train and work-out in. The feel light-weight with lots of room for stretching or move ability. I wish they offered more colors because they're all I wear!

Took two pairs of these through S.E Asia and wore nothing else. Quick wash in a sink and they were good to go in next to no time. Used them as swim trunks as well...versatile and stylish...i recommend at least two. Altrec service rocks as well!

These shorts are truly nothing less than perfect. Loose fitting, quick drying and perfect for limited space, weight conscious travel/camping/backpacking. 1 pair is simply not enough! :-)

Two simple selling points for me.
Durability and style. Price was great. My current pair wears so well I had to have another in a different color. I like the active features like the beefy built in belt and all the pockets including a rear zippered pocket. I ride my mt. bike and swim in these suckers and really like all of mt. hard wear gear.

Great product. Bought one six years ago and it is still going strong. Durable as the day is long. Comfortable too. Searched and searched in local stores to buy another until I heard about Altrec. I'm a big fan of the MH line of clothing. Technically sound and visually appealing, these shorts are light weight and maintain their breathability. The end cut of the belt can annoy your skin when "crunched" up against it, but the value of this adjustable feature helps keep these shorts comfortly in place depending upon your level of activity.
