Great shirt, comfortable, fits well. Very light and cool on hot days. I would suggest this shirt to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and light shirt. Can be used as daily wear or going on hikes.

Great Shirt Get More than One!
May 01, 2011
Got this shirt to wear to work as a motion picture camera operator on movies, tv shows and commercials. Fits great, sheds heat and moisture and weighs nothing; I love all the features from pockets to vents. Glad I bought more than one!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Great Travel Shirt
September 26, 2011
I use this shirt exclusively for travel. The pockets are great for IDs, boarding passes, sunglasses, and all the other documents required for today's travel requirements. Additionally, it washes easy in a hotel sink, and dry s quickly which allows me to travel very light. I wear a 44R jacket, and the size large fits perfect with a light T-shirt under it. Great shirt, highly recommend purchase.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, easy washing
Looks great - fits small
March 04, 2010
Looks great, very technical. However, it runs small. When in doubt order a size up. I normally wear a size medium - and I am a smaller guy - but this ran small. So, in doubt go a size up. Otherwise, great buy - good technical shirt that is fashionable as well.
Nice shirt first day out
October 18, 2011
This shirt was awsome the first day I wore it. It fit great and had all sorts of great little pluses. The pockets were perfect with both zipper and velcro sestems in place. The problem came after the first day... I used it for a 15 mile trek and when I washed it I noticed strings coming loose and the material was balling. I didn't even send it trhew ther dryer, just line dried it and it there was no way I sould wear it again as it looked so shabby... Anyhow I returned it and altrec the upstanding people they are already credited my account. Thanks Altrec your the best!Pros: Performance, Cons: Wears quickly, Poor quality

this is a amazing shirt. i have gotten three of them over the years. they dry quickly, breath well, have zippered pockets for stashing things, and have a nice collar that flips up to protect your neck. would definitely recommend it.
Works as advertised (with one drawback)
July 14, 2010
First, I've worn the shirt while climbing up and down sandstone cliffs here in Montana in 90+ degree heat (but in reasonably low humidity) and I've definitely worked up a sweat. The shirt functions as advertised - keeps you comfortable and reasonably cool. The only complaint I have (and this is not limited to Mountain Hardware), is that full synthetic button-downs such as this still, as a rule, have absolutely no odor control in the fabric. After 90 minutes of high activity in hot weather and this shirt already smells like the synthetics of days gone by. It can get nasty very quickly. For that reason, I do not do day hikes in this shirt (overnight *maybe* if I have a lake or stream to wash it in ASAP, but I'd rather hike in a Capilene 1 anyway). Rather, I use it in hot weather for shorter exercise sessions, fishing, climbing, disc golf, etc., where I can have it off and in the dirty clothes hamper quickly. What I have found is that a fabric with at least some cotton blended in (like the Patagonia Puckerware or Island Hopper) are much, much better at not developing offensive odors even after days of use - believe me, I tested them for 3 weeks in Thailand recently. And even if the fabric is approximately 1/3 cotton, the fabric will still easily dry overnight if washed in a sink, stream, etc. Hope this is helpful. (4 stars for the "stink" factor; otherwise 5 stars).
Great shirt for extreme desert conditions or the cubicle
April 23, 2010
Bought my first one for the Mule ride down the Grand Canyon. This short-sleeve version is not as good for extreme sun conditions but will work for most outdoor situations and works for me in the office. Great velcro and zip chest pockets, nice mesh vents. Interesting to note that one reviewer says the fit is small. I've 'grown' a little recently and can still fit in the medium as it seems to be roomier than some other medium shirts by the same brand. They will take abuse - this is a good product.

My husband thought he wouldnt like the Canyon shirt as much as he has appreciated the Leno shirt by the same company (Mountain Hardwear), but he has been pleasantly surprised. It looks just as nice, whether he is busy at work or at play, and is just as comfortable. It also has mesh side panels for ventilation, which we wondered at whether they would look bad, but we were happy to find that it takes a very close inspection to see that they are mesh. He is thinking that this shirt might be the one he wears on the hottest days, because of all the ventilation. Very nice!
