Love the fit of the Cordoba Shorts. As with all MH items I've purchased over the years they are really very well made and fit true to size. I opted for the 12" lenght which come to just above my knee. The 10" seemed a little too short for my liking. Only negative would be, is the back pockets are a tad bit too shallow.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: shallow back pocketsTough Enough?

The reason I purchased these shorts is to wear while navigating Class III technical slot canyons in Zion National Park. A good deal of the time in the sport of canyoneering is spent sliding on one's backside and stemming against rough surfaces. As a result, the material of all clothing needs to be tough and durable enougth to handle the rigors that the harsh conditions place upon them. A couple of pre-use observations: While the material of the Cordoba shorts is billed as "canvas" and suitable for rock climbing...I wonder. The material seems a little lightweight for heavy duty use. I also would prefer not to have flaps on the rear pockets. I can see these being easily damaged or even torn off by a nasty slide. And lastly, the shorts do stretch a bit with wear, so ordering on the small side might be best.
