Changed a bit, still allllll good
It's been mild here so haven't really gotten to try the hat out. I had the 2009 model before...this 2012 model is a little lower on the ears so it's even warmer. Definitely blocks the wind. Love it!

Nice head cover for cold days.
Glad it came in sizes. Needed that large. Fits nice and covers the ears. Warms better than a plain skull cap and the material should last longer and keep its shape.

GREAT DOME
The best winter hat i have ever owned.No more cold ears.Really blocks the wind.Great fabric and great color in sapphire choice.If you have a normal sized melon get the medium.

Comfy, warm lid
Feels really good on the head - really good. The soft, almost cuddly, ear flaps do reduce the sound levels somewhat but that's to be expected. Seems to be well made. Looks sharp. The curve along the bottom allows the beanie to be above the eyebrows, fully cover the ears and still be comfy and stable on the head. For you gram counters, my size L is 68 grams without the care tags.

Large Head
It is impossible for me to ever find a hat to fit my big head.
Ordered the XL. Fits great and I look awsome.
Hat feels like good quality, and its easy to use. No instructions though.

Took this cap to Canada the first week I had it. Kept me warm in single digit temperatures. Would have been much colder with my old standard stocking cap.

Windstopper
Bought this to replace my fleece on windy cold days in the Sierra Nevadas. Perfect choice! Ears are warm, wind stopped and toasty warm noggin. Love this hat.

Great Beanie
This is a lightweight and warm beanie. The design allows you to cover more of the back of your neck than conventional designed beanies. The liner does a good job of blocking wind. My head circumference is 22 5/8 and I got a medium. It does not feel as snug as other beanies I have due to the stretch panel and is cut with more volume in the top probably so it can be pulled down further in the back. On my melon, a small would probably fit more like a skull cap but I am happy with the comfort & performance of this size.

This Hat Rocks!
Keeps my head warm and dry! And the fit is snug, but comfortable. I've been out in weather with wind chills down to 20 degrees and it was perfect. As the day warms up, off it goes. Another Great product from Mountain Hardwear!!
