Whether you're mountaineering, backpacking or just out taking the dog for a winter stroll, the Men's Kelvinator Jacket is one of the warmest outerwear designs available from Mountain Hardwear. The Kelvinator is an uncluttered jacket design that's optimized for thermal warmth. The exterior ripstop nylon fabric is rugged, fully downproof and treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, but this down jacket easily layers beneath a waterproof shell for complete weather protection. Up top is an attached, low profile insulated hood that fits close to your head. Inside the hood is a soft, Micro-Chamois™-lined chin guard for enhanced comfort in sub-freezing conditions.

Excellent Jacket

I got this jacket a few weeks ago and really love it! My biggest concern was that it would be too puffy and shiny, but it is not. It feels very light, but the 650-fill keeps body heat in well and keeps you warm. It is a little on the shiny side, but not enough to not like it. Overall, this has been a great jacket so far...
