Great if you have "Toothpick Arms"
December 31, 2011
I am a huge Mountain Hardware fan, so I am very disappointed to write this Kepler Jacket is really poorly designed. Essentially there are two major flaws... 1) The arms are way too skinny. I bought an XL and even though I am not packing "Big Guns" even with a t-shirt the fit was inconveniently tight. With a fleece on as well - forget about it. Too tight in the arms! 2) Its too short. I don't want my shirt getting wet when I reach above my head. It will with this jacket as it rides way up and over... Sorry Mountain Designs, but unless you have toothpick arms and bib style rain pants, get some thing else to stay dry in...
Cons: Bad designAwesome Jacket

This jacket fits extremely well and is very comfortable. It keeps me dry and warm in the wind and light precip. This jacket is great for someone who does not run cold normally...it is as advertised.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueawsome ski jacket

Have had the jacket for about a month, skied in it a couple of weekends and shoveled 50in of snow the last one; the fabric is soft and flexible, the make looks and feels quality, not cheap. I am 5'7" 130lbs, I would say it's a little tight in the shoulders, but I like that, and it does stretch a bit. I don't have a problem with the sleeves being to tight for me, I have I would say average arms, but it gets a bit tight around the neck if you have other layers that go around the neck. It does go up if you lift your hands, probably worst when they go above shoulders. Not a big problem for me since my ski pants cover that area, and I usually don't have a reason to lift my hands that high. Overall, the best jacket I have ever skied in, very tight and very flexible. Breathability is SUPERB, never seen anything like it. Would recommend it strongly, if the fit suits you.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, very breathable, Cons: fit might not work for youWrite a review for the Mountain Hardwear Kepler Jacket here.
