Solid fleece top
December 28, 2011
Quality MH product. Functional, with good pockets and zippers, and fitted, with an athletic cut. Not a wind resistance fleece but denser than a lot of others. Looks good; works well
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useMy favorite jacket

Great lightweight jacket--my husband wears it all the time, and it looks great. It is a great jacket for travel because it is very light and packs small for the degree of warmth. We have become big fans of Mountain Hard Wear!
Pros: Great design, Build qualityNice for Layering

I bought this jacket for my 15 year old son, and I love the way it fits and looks on him. He wears it often, and wears it over long and short sleeved shirts, and the fit is great over both. The color is perfect (red). I would positively recommend this jacket.

Awesome 2nd layer jacket
January 02, 2013
Gotta say I'm a fan of most Mountain Hardwear gear except for its price. This jacket was priced right and works for 2nd layer or top jacket during exercising. The comfort is the best part though. Superb!!!
Excellent buy, good value

It's a little snug for my husband who is a big guy but it still looks really good on him. It's great for layering and he loved the otter color.
MUST HAVE!!!

This is my third Micro Chill jacket I had. Wish they have more colors available in Medium. I'm from the Pacific Northwest and this jacket is just perfect for year round wear. Worth every penny even at full price. Buying another black on sale as a back-up for the ones I already have.

This is a very nice looking jacket. I bought the red color which actually looks very elegant. It is very, very soft and comfortable. I am five feet five inches tall, medium build and the jacket fits fine. The jacket is not overly warm and does not protect from strong wind, but it is not supposed to be used alone. I use it for hiking a few miles a day when the temperature is 40 degrees F and higher. I live in upstate New York and would not use this in the winter. This jacket would be best to use when hiking or going to work. It is more like a soft, light-weight sweater. I have only had the jacket about a month, so I can't say how durable it is. The zipper works well and I use the handwarmer pockets which are convenient. My only wish is that the jacket had been slightly warmer, otherwise I am very satisfied.
Pros: Build quality, Ease of useGood quality jacket
January 04, 2012
I bot it for my husband as a present and he really liked it. The jacket is soft and cosy, not sure it is too worm because jacket is thin. He is between M and Lg and Lg fit him very well.
Pros: Build quality, Cons: CostApril 23, 2011
Ordered a Micro Chill to ski with this spring and it came almost immediately after I ordered it. I was concerned that the fit might be to tight for my 64 year old frame, however that was not the case. The fit is perfect and comfortable. I tried other brands but they seemed to always be made for people under 30 who have not yet suffered from the ravages of Father Time. I see it as a layer underneath my ski parka next winter and might use it fly fishing this spring.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityExcellent Product

I purchased the microchill jacket in otter. Mountain Hardwear makes a good looking jacket that isnt exactly like all the others out there. It is by far my favorite fleece. It's pretty thin, but still very warm. The fleeciness is subtle and it didn't even pill a little bit when I had to wash it. I will say that the otter color looks brown inthe pictures, but is more of a greenish in real life. No problem, still looks just fine.
Good jacket

Quality of the fleece is great, but I ended up returning it b/c I wanted something that could also provide wind protection.
Great fleece

I bought this fleece for my husband last Christmas to layer with his windbreaker in the winter. He loves it and usually just ends up wearing it by itself.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this jacket. Not only was it lightweight and warm, but also extremely comfortable. Build quality is excellent, with the well-thought out details that typify Mountain Hardwear's products. This jacket is generally the first thing I grab before I go hiking or climbing.

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. It's lightweight and warm, but not bulky. I'm 6' and 160 lbs and the large fits me well. Great alone in cool weather or as a mid-layer in cold or windy conditions. It was a good deal on sale.

Good light layer
March 20, 2011
It's thin and it fits fairly small. This results in a comfortable garment that makes a great base layer. The jacket also has very nice cuffs that fits snugly to your wrist. Relative to its thinness, the jacket is surprisingly warm, but not miraculous by any means. The fleece is soft and fine.

I ordered this jacket for my son and decided to keep it for myself! It is a very soft Polartec fleece and suitable to wear indoors or out. It is warm but not windproof. I have only worn it by itself but it would be very suitable for layering this winter. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable fleece.
Pros: Great design, Great valuelove this

Very cozy, fits great, my favorite fleece! I really like the way there is protection around the sleeves to prevent cold air from getting in.
Pros: Build qualityNo regrets

I bought this for my husband to layer with his softshell, he love sit! He wears it everywhere. it keeps him nice and toasty withought the bulk of a jacket, but layers well with the softshell for extra protection when needed.

I wear the jacket as one of my layers for cold weather running (sometimes 20 below wind chill) and it works great. Mountain Hardwear makes a great durable quality product which will give its wearer the results expected.
Pros: Build qualityPerfect for tall & slim guys!
June 14, 2011
I bought this jacket as a gift for my boyfriend. It's always hard to find jackets that fit him since he's about 6'5", 180lbs. He always has to order an extra large to fit his arms and torso, but the body of extra larges are always too big for him and end up looking baggy. This jacket (in size xl), however, fit him perfectly! The arms and torso were long enough and the body of the jacket was slim! This is the perfect jacket for tall and slim guys! He wears it almost everyday! It keeps him warm and even dry in light rain! Best gift ever!

Soft, cozy and lightweight. This jacket provides plenty of warmth. The zipper feature is handy. It can be worn to class and easily fits into my backpack.
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great valueGreat jacket; Color shocker though
February 19, 2010
I ordered this jacket in Otter based on the photo . Expecting to receive a khaki jacket, I was shocked to receive a dark brown, almost chocolate one instead. The jacket very well made, fit great and was the perfect weight for what I was looking for (a warm layer for underneath my OR soft shell). I would loved to have kept it, but ultimately I returned the jacket because of the dark color. Altrec was great when it came time to returning it.

My Favorite!
June 09, 2009
Light, thin, packable, comfortable. Love that neck lining. This is a great jacket for those airplane rides or layering under a heavier jacket like my motorcycle jacket. Plus it looks good going to my favorite restaurant in the evening.
I love this jacket

Yet one more of Mountain Hardwears great line of apparel. This is my second one of these jackets. I loved the first so much I bought a second different color. Perfect for cold to moderate weather and as a baselayer jacket.

This maybe a bit snug if it draws up in a wash. It is a great jacket for light weather conditions, and great for layering.
Nice Jacket
November 08, 2010
Nice Jacket for cool days. Great for layering, due to slim fit in arms and body. Does not fit over logn sleeve shirt well. But works great with a short sleeve shirt on a day that starts off cool adn warms up. Very light weight and packable. Overall a great jacket.

Very Comfortable and Lightweight
December 17, 2009
I really like this jacket for its light weight, full zipper and the nicely discreet chest pocket that I use for small items. I wear it primarily indoors as a sweater, but also as an outdoor layering piece. For my use as a sweater, although I have an athletic build, I only wish it had a bit more of a relaxed cut around the hips and didn't have a drawcord w/ toggles. Otherwise, this is an exceptionally comfortable product, which I am wearing almost daily.
