This incarnation of the Men's Mountain Tech Jacket features an AirShield™ Core membrane that won't diminish in breathable performance over an extended period of time. Mountain Hardwear typically applies this windproof and highly water resistant fabric for utility outerwear, but the Men's Mountain Tech Jacket has a distinct alpine-oriented design with Airshield™ Fleece and breathable Deflection Softshell fabric that works well for climbing, hiking and climbing. Pit zips beneath the sleeves also help optimize the ventilation on long ridgeline ascents and other high-impact activities, too. The zipper pockets are placed high so you can access contents while wearing a climbing harness or backpack.
