Best of the Best
June 05, 2012
I have been searching for a tough, comfortable, goods looking pants for a long time, and I have tried various makes. These pants are by far the best pair of casual pants I have ever owned. The pockets are just right , and the elasticity in them, make them very comfortable indeed. I have all the colors of these pants now.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueWrite a review for the Mountain Hardwear Piero Pants here.
classic mountain hardware!!

Long time veteran of these pants, this updated version is a more streamline cut, with one deep easy access pocket on the right leg. Material stays clean, washes off easy and is wrinkle free, front fleece pockets a very comfortable but tend to leave change on the couch. Great all round pants, High recommended!

Best all around pants
April 05, 2011
I have 3 pairs of this pant. They are very comfortable and yet durable. I wear them at work and leave to go straight out for hikes and climbing. Best pants ever.
Great pant, crucial oversight though

I have been wearing these pants for general hiking, hunting, rafting over the past 6 months and while they have one of the best fits and function I have ever experienced, there is a fatal flaw. The pants are made of nylon and cotton thread was used for all of the seams rather than nylon thread. The seams will prematurely unravel as they have on mine. If you rely on these for office duty you should be fine but don't expect them to last very long outdoors.
Great pants

I absolutely love these pants. I bought these pants for chilly hiking days when thin nylon pants aren't quit enough. I known these are technically climbing pants, they have worked great for hiking. I tend to do a decent amount of bushwacking while I'm on the trail and with these pants I'm never worried about rips or snags. They are extremely comfortable and they breathe pretty well.

All-Purpose Three Season Pants

Love these pants. I usually wear a 33in waist but thanks to the elastane a 32 fits great. The updated cut and fit is more streamlined without cramping your style. Can easily do radical maneuvers without bunching or binding. They passed the shimmy-up-a-tree test with flying colors, no snags or rips. Great pants for just about any outdoor activity. I think they will be too warm for summer, because I don't even need a baselayer on my bottom right now (winter). As far as the inseam, it was true to size. The DWR works great and you really don't have to wash these pants often

Great Fit and Look!

These pants fit perfectly! I also like that the fabric stretches and moves with you. The gussets and articulated knees also help make these pants ultra-comfortable! Look well made and durable.

Potential

Unfortunately, there are a couple major flaws with this pant despite many great qualities. First, the good: the pockets on them are awesome. two front fleece lined pockets are not too small not too big. back pockets are places and sized perfectly as well. And, not only do the utility pockets on the side of the pant make for great storage space, but they also give the pant unique style points. These pants are tough and stretchy and equipped with everything else you could want in an adventure pant... save for two things--cut and comfort. the pants are cut like bell bottoms, so the extra fabric looks gross and gets in the way (this is hard to remedy, as the construction of the pant is very uncommon). Also, the crotch comes up way too high. after 10 minutes of walking, i started to chafe. ALMOST great pant.

These pants are hands down the most durable I've ever owned. I just bought my third pair for fear that they would be discontinued. I still wear the first pair and have climbed in them for close to 4 years now. The fit is great and the materials are extremely durable. These are the ones.

Piero pants

second pair of these i have had. the first pair had stitching problems. amazing fit and extremely comfortable. they could be a bit cheaper in price for a product like this. the threading of my first pair came undone in 5 places in the first 4 days , which was disappointing but, probably an exception. the second pair is lasting well
Incredible pair of pants

Perfect fit, easy to wear, comfortable, durable... Hands down the best pair of outdoors pants I've owned. Hard to stain, does not rip or tear. Love 'em...!!!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useAnother great MH product, but an odd design quirk

Big fan of Mountain Hardwear products. Great pants with what appears to be bullet-proof construction - material seems very durable with a lot of stitching keeping things together. Overall fit for my 5'10", 210 lb build was very good with 36-Regular. I like the lining of the pockets and waistband. However, another reviewer noted the bell-bottom appearance; very odd design feature.

I love these pants.....

I continue to buy these pants and it's always hard to find them in a short version but Altrec seems to always have them in stock. I wear these pants to work and even on nights out, they're so comfortable and stylish too!
Great Pants

I wore these pants all last winter. Warm, strong, fit well, extremely comfortable. Forget the jeans.
Zombie Apocalypse Quality Pant
January 29, 2012
Nearly as tough as Carhartt's but a lot more comfortable and stylish. I never do this with any of the clothes that I buy - but I purchased all 4 colors. Well worth the investment for me considering I beat up on my clothes. I buy clothing that I can wear hiking and during other outdoor activities as well as going out to the movies, etc. If it can't do either very well while making me look good, I don't buy it. If the zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow, I'll throw one Piero pants on and the rest in my backpack. Too bad I can't find a shirt that's as bomb proof as these pants.

I was looking for an overall more durable pant to wear backpacking. I hate how thin the material is for most hiking pants. Then I stumbled upon these bad boys. While meant for bouldering, they offer great functionality for most pursuits. Great construction and great fit, even for me (I'm no health nut...) And they feel bombproof! Minimal "swooshing" as you walk would have to be my ONLY complaint. These pants are worth every penny.

i wear these at the post office , very durable, comfy around the waist and pockets with a soft fleece lining , not to mention they don't get dirty easily and dry quickly when they get wet.. a great alternative to wearing blue jeans ...
Excellent Climbing/Hiking Pant Ever!
March 27, 2011
These Mountain hardwear pants are great! I went on a long off trail hike with them ,and they performed perfect. These Piero Pant move with the highest leg lift without any restriction, and are "extremely comfortable"!!
