Great Mid or Top Layer
This is a very warm, very functional mid-layer. With a base layer worn under it and a vest or shell over it I can be comfortable down into the 30's easily. I love the versatility of the reversibility.
I am 5' 11" and 165# and a medium would fit nicely

Power stretch zip T
This products awesome for an avid sports enthusiast! Especially for anyone who is thin, withlow body fat (with a tendency to have cold hands or slow to warm up). Also, I have long arms and can't stand products that the sleeves are too short. This product is perfect for my wish list!

Power Stretch Un-zip Tee
This Tee would be absolutely killer if only the 3" collar would stay secure, and yes, it unzips 3". It's very annoying having to zip it up constantly. I did return it and purchased Patagonia's Capilene 4 Expedition Weight Zip Neck and I'm very glad I did.

Power Stretch
My wife bought the Power Stretch for me at Xmas. I'm going to use it skiing however we decided to take a walk with the dogs at our place in Colorado. Temp was about 20F. Just wore a long sleeve t-shirt and the Power Stretch. Slight wind. Well.....I felt like a warm piece of toast. This shirt is really warm and lightweight. I liked it so much I ordered two more!!!!!!!

Sweet top as a base
Great top layer...solid as a base or as a mid. Zippers high up the neck to prevent any stray breezes from sneaking in and the thumb loops are perfect...strong and durable unlike others on the market. Only suggestion would be to maybe shorten the cut and inch or so...tends to fit true overall but long. I am 5'10", 178lbs, athletic and have the large...could go medium but I like it as a mid-layer with a bit of room which I get from the large.

perfect mid weight base layer
ive worn this mh base layer on several trips now and it always does its job,add a jacket on top and your good to go when the temp drops into the low 20s,note: its not close to the skin like a under armor base layer and the neck is a bit tight when its fully zipped up,other than thats its great! another well thought out product from mountain hardwear !!!

Very Warm
Used this as a base layer for skiing at Beaver Creek in the middle of February. It was very warm and performed perfectly. Three points: 1.I am 6'1" 165-170 lbs and got the medium. It fits close, but no where near as tight as the photo suggests -- whatever you like.. 2. The thumb loops are a very helpful addition. 3. I am NOT a fan of the zipper, because it will eventually come down from full zip and the partially opened zipper started to aggravate my neck after a while. The piece is designed to be reversible, so I guess MHardwear couldn't put a locking zipper on... either way, this thing does the job very well in cold/snow sports..

Odd shrinkage
Purchased for my son as he hit the AT. Small fit just fine. As he wore it for a few days, it shrunk! Became so tight through the shoulders, the sleeves actually became too small. He isn't able to use it, so it's a disappointment. Could 3-4 days on the trail really bulk up his shoulders that much??? Or did fabric shrink as he sweat?

Perfect cold weather base layer.
What to pack for two weeks in Southeast Alaska in early May ... Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Zip T and Tights, Smartwool Microweight LS Crew and Tights, The North Face TKA 100 Zip in a cool color, REI Mistrial Pants (sorry Altrec ... need to offer more womens tall selections), The North Face Nimble Zip, Arcteryx Beta LT Jacket and Pants. The Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Zip is warm and soft and stretchy ... paired with the tights it's the perfect base layer ... as well as super sleepwear for those cold nights.

Great!
Very warm and very comfortable. The fit is very good, but the neck can be a little tight. It would have been nice if it "looked better" to wear it on its own. By this I mean that the collar lays down in an awkward looking was so I use this only for layering...which is its real purpose. Very happy with the garment!

Best ski shirt ever
If you want maximum performance from a lightweight yet really warm winter shirt this is it! It keeps me warm in sub-zero temperatures when tele-skiing and doesn't feel clammy when I heat up. It is form fitting but doesn't bind up in the shoulders or arms.

Best powerstretch garment on market
This piece would be PERFECT, if only Mtn.Hardwear would add a zipper garage to protect the neck from the double-sided zipper pulls & the nylon trim used to "cap" the top of the zipper assembly. The dual sided construction is a nice feature for a layering piece: layer the smooth side in for wear over a performance-T, or smooth side out for use with fleece-lined softshells. As far as warmth to weight for bottom layers, nothing beats powerstretch: I wore this piece alone with a softshell and was comfortable well down into the 20s skiing at 9000+ ft in CO with 10-15 mph winds.

Great for camping
I recently wore this shirt winter camping. Thirty degrees during the day, teens at night and I wore this all weekend. The collar is a little too tall, but not enough to be annoying.

Perfect shirt
This shirt is great for the overcast day with a stiff breeze. Hiking in the northwest the weather can be unpredictible and I always carry this shirt with me.

A Great article of clothing
This Power Zip Tee is arguably my new favorite shirt. It is super cool looking, comfortable, can be layered with other clothes, and keeps the cold at bay more effectively than other shirts that are far bulkier. I will definitely be buying another of these Zip tees. An outstanding product from Mountain Hardware!

Warm, light and body hugging fit
Almost too warm for a 40 degree day in CA with an outer shell. Perfect for mid and base layer.

Excellently warm baselayer for sub-freezing play
Excellently warm. Use as a base layer under a windbreaker for cold (10F?) jogs. Use with a sweater for hiking in the same. Too warm for any sort of prolonged activity in temperate weather. Great base layer overall, if you're recreating in cold (below freezing) temps.

Comfortable & Warm
This shirt was awesome, minus the instructions tag. Comfortable and warm during winter runs to cross country skiing in Maine. Well Done!

MUST HAVE PRODUCT!
This product is outrageous. It is the most comfortable item of clothing that I wear to and from the mountain. The Power Stretch Zip T breathes very well, and even though the temperatures have been dipping into the low teens, I have not had any problem with warmth. I would highly recommend adding this item to your gear.

Really warm
I used this as a base layer for the first time under a jacket, and I'll say that this thick stretchy shirt really does the job wicking and keeping me warm in cold temperatures. I want another one!

My Fav TurtleNeck
What more can I say about this wonderful shirt... It easily streaches that it wraps you in supreme comfort without feeling constrained. Eventhough MountainHardware usually sizes smaller, this one i can wear my normal M size and it just streaches to my body size. Its warm and breathes easily. The surface is also very silky & slippery that its easy to slip in and out of outer layer.

Elegant and Warm
Really! If you want something comfortable, close to the skin, and warm, you can not find anything better. Just say no to the butt tag and you'll be fine. It actually tears off, so no worry. The material is luxurius on the one side and sleek on the other, so layering is immaterial.

Comfy Cozy
Great shirt for blustery days. Only complaint i have is that the huge washing instructions tag sticks out if you use the reversability function.

Excellent Heavier Shirt
Has a stretchy fit, so feels good during activity. Windproof, makes an excellent middle layer when it's really cold and outer layer when it warms up.

it is so good!
it is so good! i like it!
May 12, 2005
great , warm , shirt
Man, this is awesome, size up one size though. I wore this shirt in 30 mph winds and 35-40 degree temps at the beach in nc. not windproof, but they dont claim it to be either. Excellent baselayer though. may be the nicest , warmest shirt I own. and I got tons o shirts.

Warmest base layer
I have to admit that at first I wanted this shirt because the Mountain Hardwear logo on the collar looked cool. But after trying one I immediatly bought another and then bought a third one for my wife. Worn under a mid piece, fleece side in,it is very warm and wicks great. The smooth outer material makes layering super slick. If layering isn't necessary the shirt can be worn smooth side in. Indoors the deep zipper helps knock down heat build up. It's cut to fit fairly tight. Two shirts in one and ya gotta love that collar!
